I've been playing Half-Life and Counter Strike since the late 90's, but really got into it when our classroom was chosen to have PC's installed and networked for each student to use for their classwork. It wasn't long after when "someone" brought in their copy of Counter-Strike and hooked everyone up in the class. From that day on, it was Lan Parties from 8am to 4pm!

After I finished school, I played through Half-Life single player missions and then decided to open up CS and last January started searching through servers to play on. Most wouldn't take me because it said I needed a steam account, but I never thought I needed one since my version of Half Life was my own that I bought in the store, and I had heard so many problems with Steam over the years, I only recently decided to sign up, just so I could keep my stats on the servers, and it would help incase someone from the same internet host was banned with an IP range ban.

Anyways, in my search I found one server that let me in, and it was PGN playing the Gun Game. I was hooked again; and have been playing daily ever since!
