Absolutely terrible, overpriced tat. Bad game with unnecessary DLC, pointless multiplayer. Another nonsense effort from SEGA to make 2D Sonic anything other than what fans want, more of the original trilogy & mania.

So dreary, like career mode got crossed with a tamagotchi, who wants to feed a wrestler? Also stop centering everything on the bucks, there's a whole roster. That's without forgetting the cash grabs... uninstall!

An absolute joy to play, so much effort has been put into this that it is obviously a labour of love. The soundtrack is amazing, you can use the codes from the original game, it looks absolutely stunning in both new and classic modes.

One of the best Sonic games ever made. Absolutely destroys both episodes of Sonic 4 and all the 2D Sonic levels in the 3D titles like Sonic Generations. It's like they literally stepped back in time, kidnapped all the original developers and forced them to work on a new Sonic title.

SEGA may have dropped the ball on the franchise for years but by allowing others access, they've brought it straight back to life.

Simply the best Sonic the Hedgehog game ever made. Introduced loads of cool new twists on the classic gameplay and above all else, Metal Sonic!
