Well, I mined stone in Minecraft, I mined stone in Valheim, and now I'm mining stone in space! It's dwarfy mining goodness at its finest.

The interface is excellent for this digital adaptation of a fairly complex board game. I'd like another level of undo as it's easy to click wrong when moving, but that's about my only nitpick. The graphics are lush and the characters well-animated.

I love Minecraft survival mode and vikings, so this game is hitting a sweet spot. Being Early Access, some of the content like the Mistlands biome is in development, but it's keeping me busy and entertained. The sailing is dangerous, frustrating at times when the wind changes, but feels like real adventure! It does reach a spot in the Bronze tech tree where playing solo starts feeling like a grind; fortunately I found a friend who was playing and he helped me get over that hump into the Iron age.

It takes care of the math behind the game and allows us to focus on strategy. The sound and animation are delightfully atmospheric.
