I bought two great works (writing) from another civilization, only one popped up in my gallery even though i had enough free slots for writing. Tried buying another writing great work again, also didn't show up even though i have enough slots. I made sure that I have all the books by checking the trade screen.

It really sucks because I was trying for a cultural victory. Tried to refund the game (platinum edition), Steam only recognizes the base game and aztec dlc in the refund page.

The sex scenes are not very elaborate and dynamic. They look like glorified gifs with the characters in the same position all throughout and you only have the option of speeding up the animation, with no animated transitions in between. The conversations are visual novel style where in you see conversing characters on the screen, with text dialogue on the bottom. So combine that with the sex gifs and it still feels like a visual novel except the characters are animated, still sounds acceptable right? No, at least not for me. There's only a couple of scenes available involving the MC. All the other scenes involve aliens ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the girls, at least in visual novels you have many different sex positions involving the MC.

Apart from that, you also have to unlock more scenes per girl through points you have accumulated. Most sex scenes don't spontaneously happen through the story, you get this gallery where you have the option of viewing all the other sex scenes that you unlock (which again, are disconnected and have no transitions).

Kind of disappointed with the sex parts overall considering StudioFOW makes great fully animated porn videos.

As for the gameplay: I've never played that much bullet hells and turn-based xcom-like games, so I'll just say that the bullet hell segments are fun but the turn-based segments are very bland compared to the few turn-based games I have tried.

As of time of writing: The story and dialogues are fun and hilarious, it's one of those things where it's so cheesy and "bad" that it's good. However, the semi-obvious forced swearing is a turn off at times but nothing too bad.

Overall, it's a no for me. My main gripe is how bad the porn is integrated to the game. Yeah...if I'm buying a porn game, I expect to feel the porn tied nicely with the game. But then again, it's not good as a porn video either since there's not much positions available and there's no transitions. I'm sorry, but I don't think it's worth it at this state. Best of luck to the developers.

The game has very immersive environments; some areas are meant to give you a feeling of dread through loneliness, while others are claustrophobic. Good sound effects. Puzzles are reasonably challenging without being too hard. The most horrifying thing for me in the game is the story.

10/10 gave me existential crisis
