You kept trying to mentor me, kept hoping that we'd be a team again, kept trying to make me understand what you were going through and that the other people that told me that you were a manipulative ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ were wrong. You persisted for so long...and then out of necessity, so that you wouldn't be hurt again and again by my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you stopped talking to me. And I honest to God hope that the other people in your life since me have been better to you.
But what you did before all that, and especially since you don't believe in a higher power, and had little other reason except the team we used to be...I'm so thankful for all of it.

Thanks Jade. Thanks for everything you did for me. I was constantly ungrateful, disloyal, and withdrawn, and it probably seemed to you that no matter what you did or said that I would never see that you were trying to help me, and that I'd never give you anything back ever. That I'd just keep taking from you until you had nothing left. And I did that. Repeatedly. And I feel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible about it nearly every day. Even using this really amazing laptop feels like ill-gotten gains because that's what it was.
