UPDATE: I had a lapse in self control and relapsed. I feel I am beyond help

This game is the equivalent of Heroin. It's terrible for you but you can't help but get your fix. It's the only fix you can ever find related to this game though, as there are so many bugs in this game that I have honestly never seen a version of the game where it's been fully fixed. I've sunk just over 300 hours into this loveless mistress, and I can honestly say that I have never been so disappointed in myself for investing my time into something.

The lack of dedicated servers is one of the major issues that causes true irritation to myself as well as the majority of the player base. Yes, they are supposed to be implementing dedicated servers in the summer, but this should have been implemented from the start. Having the killer as the host automatically gives them an advantage because you have to play to their connection. This opens up opportunities for the killers to use lag switching to their advantage, allowing them to tamper with the connection to cause you to lag so that they can get easy hits on you. As well as this, I constantly find myself in games against people the other side of the world, putting them at a major advantage because you have a terrible connection to them. Thanks to connection issues that this game has caused, I have lost a large amount of offerings, tools, and attachments on both survivors and killers. When you have a daily to kill a survivor and your only Mori gets lost due to you not being able to connect to the survivors, you question why you even play this game. Killers will camp the hook to ensure that they have at least 1 kill, they will tunnel 1 survivor to ensure they have 1 kill.

The events that periodically happen have deteriorated in quality since I started playing. The last good one was the summer event when Leatherface was introduced. If you had the misfortune of playing the Lunar New Year event, I share your pain of having to experience the worst event that was ever introduced to this game. The fact that the killer could destroy the main objective that gave you progress towards the event still amazes me. Who thought that was a good idea!?

Uninstalling this game will lift a HUGE weight off of my shoulders. If I ever tell somebody that I have been clean for a certain amount of time, I will not be referring to being free of drug use. Instead, I will be referring to being free of this buggy, unbalanced, toxic game. Do not purchase this game. If you have the chance to play this game for free, do not do it. I would have rather used those 300 hours to individually break every bone in my body than to have played this game.
