Matchmaking is utterly broken. Approximately 90% of lobbies fail to launch and often, when they fail and you try to get a match going again, it'll give you a warning that you either 1) Have recently quit a game, so you are being penalized by not being able to join games for awhile or 2) You are currently in a game (you aren't) and need to rejoin it (you can't).

In the rare occasion that you do get a lobby that carries through to an actual game, you will find that you are quickly on the small end of a 4v2 domination when the other two people on your team have disconnected or you will find yourself on the boring side of a four player team utterly dominating the two person team. There is no autobalance and it doesn't seem you can change teams manually to help with the balance.

There also only seems to be one map and the only game mode available in Ranked mode is a non-ranked Exhibition mode (...what?).

On a personal point - I really don't like the weapons. They're all very much based around upgrading your weapons (beam, pulse, rifle, launcher) to the point that you can just hold down the trigger and blow crap up. Some have drawn comparisons between this game and Quake. I don't remember a gun in Quake that would hit its target even when you were facing the opposite direction and running away from them.

I can sense something decent in this game. It is well produced and is so close to doing something right. They just need to tighten up on the overly-casual aspect of it (introduce a bit more skill to the application of weapons), add more variety (modes, maps, etc), fix matchmaking, fix the constant drop-outs in the start of a game that take away the balanced competition and . . . oh, maybe add voice chat?

The original TrackMania games were damned amazing and had a great following with tons of servers full of thousands of players at any given time of day. For the last ten months, the new TrackMania games have been dead. I paid full price for all three titles, expecting to have an even better time with the new games, because why not?

Well, as the days turned to weeks, I realized the folly of my wasted money as almost all of the servers remained dead across the planet and it continued to be impossible to find a choice of heavily populated servers. Whether it was the dumb choice to milk the players of their cash by splitting the game up into three separate releases (one for each environment) and requiring separate servers for each or if it was the decision to charge money for the new games, at all, the result remains the same -- nobody plays these.

If you reference SteamCharts[steamcharts.com] for Stadium, you'll find that the average number of players at any given time through all of 2013 was between 90 and 190. Across the entire planet - and most usually seem to be overseas (Germany, France, Russia, Spain, the UK), so if you're looking for a populated low-ping server in your region and you're in North America, you're going to have a bad time.

It's a very unfortunate situation. The game looks better than ever and it has a lot of enjoyment to offer if you like this style of game. It's a fantastic time waster when you need a break here and there. However, you ultimately need a player-base for a multi-player game to be enjoyed. Their business and release model for this series of games completely failed in this way, this time around.

Here's to hoping they give the franchise another shot in a couple more years and they correct their mistakes.

An excellent pool simulator with great physics and excellent controls (both M+WASD and gamepad work very well). It has an extensive career mode, free mode, fun challenges with unusual game types, tournaments, and online multi-player mode. Pool Nation is gorgeous - right down the the details in the fabric. The only negative in presentation is that your opponents are disembodied as are you; no physical presentation of the players in the game. There are also no spectators. You play in these gorgeous modern venues with seating for dozens or even hundreds, but they are entirely empty.

As someone who has had a slate pool table in my home for most of my life, I find this a compelling simulation and well worth the few dollars of the asking price.

Some people still have the misperception that DiveKick is an extravagant joke, simple, and not an actual game. This could not be farther from the truth. DiveKick is a full fledged legitimate competitive game. It defines the concept of "easy to learn; difficult to master". There are a lot of characters and while each essentially just dives and kicks, they play so differently that you are forced to strategize.

If you love fighting games, you'll love this. If you don't love fighting games, but kind of wish you did, you will probably still love this. Also, on top of the multiplayer, it has a really amusing single player "campaign" that familiarizes you with each character.

Buy a couple of copies. Share one. Make it your go-to "I have 20 minutes to have fun" title.

บทวิจารณ์ระหว่างการพัฒนา
Project Zomboid has been in development for a very long time and have endured a series of hardships such as a burglary and failed backup plan which caused a setback of many months. Yet, they've endured, learned some lessons, and continued to work on a game with an under-served concept - surviving in a world full of zombies, rather than just mindlessly blasting their asses. From the opening moments of the game, when you mean to bandage your inflicted wife and accidentally . . . do something else . . . Project Zomboid sets itself up as a very different game.

I've backed these guys for a couple of years or more, now. There's a good deal of content there, already, but I would encourage anyone with a few bucks to spare and an interest in seeing games of this type get more attention and become more popular to buy this -- even if just for the aspirational potential of the game. At the very least, give the demo a shot and put the title on your radar so you can watch the growth through future development.

Also, they gave a great talk at Rezzed, last year, about "how not to make a game". It's a compelling, if sad, talk: http://youtu.be/HYgPI0qkdU4

The Stanley Parable is a very small game world that is, narratively, expansive. It is one of the many recent games that is more of an experience than a game. It is very short (all experriences can be had within a couple of hours), so the price-sensitive may wish to wait for a significant sale. Otherwise, you are in for a great ride that will have you saying "whoa, no way!" several times throughout.

I picked this up, having been waiting for what seemed like eons for it to come out, without knowing what to expect. I left it with a huge smile on my face and hoping that there will be a more expansive experience based on this idea in the future. It deserves more depth and room to grow.

Besides, where else will you find a game with an achivement to "play for the entire duration of a Tuesday" and "don't play this game for five years"?

Gorgeous, rich, lush, futuristic world with a decent story, decent voice-acting that is marred by some fairly cumbersome mechanics that is still work experiencing.

Recommendations are limited to 1,000 characters, so I'll have to direct you to my review on GiantBomb.com for all the details:

Solid, Fun, Beautiful Game That is Marred by Too Frequent Combat and Imperfect Combat Mechanics.

Gunslinger is a complete surprise and Techland (of Dead Island) bring a great looking stylized game with compelling mechanics and an unexpectedly fun (even if predictable half way through) story. It's a cowboy shooter that has bullet time, leveling up, skills, and a story that is conveyed by a narration method reminiscent of Super Giant Games' Bastion.

While there is an arcade mode and challenges, the campaign is so fun and engaging that after the approximately six hours you put in to complete it, you'll wish there was more.

Frankly, I'd pay another $15 if they put out a sequal that is just as substantial. I'd even be interested in seeing them tell other stories in other settings (modern day, 1950s, future) using this same structure.

This was a complete blast and from a developer and franchise I didn't expect it from. It's a reasonable buy at $15 and if you find it on sale at some point, it would be a shame to miss it at all.

Dinner Date isn't a game in any sense of the word. It's essentially a small artsy experience where you spend thirty minutes listening to the internal monologue of a guy who has been stood up by his date.
