This game is scarier than FNAF

Exceptionally fine 2D platformer with wild mind games and actually good gameplay. Get it if you're into solving cryptic puzzles and absorbing the weird stuff that happens on the screen

It's a shame Phrixothrix went unnoticed, despite the big boom of the "rustcore" indie horror games about ancient bunkers, paranoia and subtle terror.

Because this game is all of that distilled into the dark (like, actually pitch black) underground network of tunnels from the perspective of a person trying to escape using a small (bio?)mechanical worm.
There's no text, nor straightforward hints. Confusing, claustrophobic mazes of rusty old corridors are hard to navigate and sometimes everything just feels frustrating. But despite all the problems, i think you should try and give Phrixothrix a chance. Maybe you might even beat it, unlike me.

Absurd quest with Atari graphics and a ton of content. Touching subjects and melancholic music inluded with mini games.

i havent touched this game in months BUT i did buy it right immideately after it's release and its a banger and theres a lot of effort put i this. the MUSIC is top tier and the vibes are good and the bullet hell is fun, all despite the kinda cheesy story

Confusing, charming, with raw edges. Gameplay is simple, battles are not really a problem, most of the game is just running around the location and doing some puzzles. A lot of cryptic lore. The game is weird to the point of being sometimes perplexing, but i find Sylvio sweet, it's a passion project. It's more about the vibes, to be honest. Check it out if you ever feel nostalgic for 2010s indie horror games.
