Early Access Review
I held off on getting Hades II whilst in Early Access because I loved the first game and was concerned about the potential lack of content. I evidently had no reason to be concerned because the amount of voice lines, upgrades, story, and interactions in this game is incredible and it is every bit as good as the first.

They've taken all the things that made Hades good and improved on those, whilst keeping it still feeling fresh. I love the new alchemy and arcana systems; the new story, characters, and gods; and Melinoe is a great character and feels distinct from Zagreus. I can't wait to explore more of the story and the full release.

I want to describe this game as X-Com meets Into The Breach, however, that would be doing Tactical Breach Wizards a dis-service. I am currently still playing the game and would estimate I am 75% through the campaign. It is clear the developers have put a lot of love into the game.

There is some very in-depth puzzle design, an engaging story, and some really well written dialogue that was genuinely funny and at times tender, and surpassed what I expected going into the game, having bought it on a whim. I am having a lot of fun playing this game and want to congratulate the developers for what they've masterfully put together.

Stray is a beautifully crafted, artistic, and moving story. Whilst it is without a doubt short, it easily makes up for this by its sweetness. I really think this game is a treat and I would recommend to all; Stray is a great place to get into video games for the uninitiated, and still a wonderful story for those already familiar with gaming.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is everything I was hoping for and more. Fromsoft have refined the beautiful exploration and level design in Elden Ring and perfected it here. They consistently take your breath away with each new area by presenting a gorgeous vista that is crafted like a painting, and somehow, despite the size of the map being smaller, they have managed to so densely pack in everything that the Land of Shadow feels just as big as its counter part, just with the fluff cut off.

As an experience in terms of difficulty it reminds me more of Dark Souls 3, you actually have to learn enemies move sets and the game will punish you if you don't. What that does mean though is when you put the time in, it is outrageously rewarding. It should be noted that I am using all the tools at my disposal, because, games should be fun, and there's no point putting limitations on yourself like capping your level because people on the internet tell you not to.

I personally have had zero performance issues, I think the base game was actually worse at launch in regard to performance, but I can't dispute if others are experiencing that and I'm sure it will get patched very soon.

I think everyone who loves fantasy owes themselves this experience. It is an artistic and beautiful creation that is a testament to the vision of Miyazaki and his team.

EDIT: This does not include the final boss. This one is hard to the point that it isn't particularly fun.

Came into this as a fan of Risk of Rain 2 and I was unfortunately very disappointed. The movement is exceptionally frustrating and slow, especially coming from the previous title. I'm sure there is an audience that would like this, but if you like movement shooters this game isn't for you.

I'm sure this game gets better (I have been told consistently so), but I can safely say the beginning sucks. Sucks so much that you would have to pay me to play through. The "tutorial" of giving you zero resources and making you run to a spot you're unable to reach without dying is akin to bashing one's head on a spiky metal stick. Maybe I'm unlucky but I loaded 5 stupidly poisonous worlds until I eventually found one where I could walk more than 5 metres without dying and losing all of my progress. Based on this alone I do not recommend this experience to someone looking to buy the game. You're better off spending your money elsewhere.

Just one more run... (if you're a fan of Hades/Hollow Knight/Dark Souls, you'll love this.)

The most fun I've ever had in a game, I won't spoil anything but go play it.
