Don't listen to any negative reviews, they are practically grifters.
Everything has been improved and the game is gorgeous. This is the first game that makes me feel even the failed speech/skill checks are awesome. Played a lot of RPGs and this will be the first I don't feel I need to save scum. For me that says a lot about the quality of it's RPG aspect.
I know the word Souls-like is thrown around a lot, and I'm not by all means calling this that. It's just that the reaction from the haters takes me back to when DS came out and it was apparent by the reviews, who could learn to adapt and take the deaths/ progress loss on the chin and those who rage quit and blamed the game.
Simple message to them: Git Gud.

They need to fix the framerate issue, frames drop or even stutter when it auto saves. Also certain areas (INCLUDING THE VERY SPOT WHERE YOU SPAWN!) has 5-10 frame drops.

Other than this the game is pretty solid and addicting.



Side note: I feel bad for Xboners if the optimization and framerate is this bad for PC.

Spawned in and immediately became a groups slave by force. They dropped a picaxe on the ground and told me to start mining if I want to survive. In the mining hole is where I now and the others live, working for food.

Well it seemed confusing going in and after 4 hours trying different classes I lost interest. A later day I watch a few clips on youtube and things start making sense to me. I'm typing this after a 10 hour play seesion. I might have had 45 mintues stuck on a part becasue it was a little difficult. THATS NOT BAD! First Souls game for me and I like it a lot!

Well it was great, character development was cool, and progression towards your case would change to where ever your moral compass pointed to.

Even though it was uncommon to happen, I should still address it. I did sometimes feel like I was playing in beta with all the small bugs. Not saying that the game didn't feel polished, it just didn't feel it was done being polished. Random error messages instead of choices, characters being stuck not prompting next dialogue, and characters not being in the right posture quick enough for the next frame.

I was content with my choices and did get some feels from this game. Only thing I wished there was more of is closure for the season finale instead of a bridge for season 2. I mean there's SO many fables, it would be nice to play as a different one.

Because I bought it during the steam summer sale I do think it is well worth the large discount. It's a Telltale game so of course the art and music was amazing, but not amazing enough to make me listen to Toad again. The story and gameplay is unique though and is always going to be fun to discuss theories in your head or punch the suspect in the face.
Maybe once playthrough for me, 4/5 meow meow beans. My jimmies are unrustled

I turned into a wereolf and killed a dragon with my bare wolf hands. Things you would only hear about in tales. 10/10
