Another Kojima greatness. It's hard to believe the game is the same age as me - it has great graphics, amazing gameplay details, and the story is also extremely relevant today. The boss fights are much easier than MGS1's, but the storyline is much more complex and well written. A lot of people don't like having to play through Raiden instead of Snake but I think it's fitting to have him as the main protagonist. The soundtrack is great as well. I can't think of any bad things to say except for some clunkiness due to its age.

Metal Gear Solid deserves all the praise it gets. The game doesn’t feel “old” except for its graphics. The story, the game design and the characters are all well made and even though the models are just a few pixels/polygons the world is immersive and charming. A big part of the game’s immersion comes from the voice acting which was probably the best I’ve ever experienced in a game. The soundtrack is great too. Some boss fights had me struggling for hours but they all have a trick to beat them easier so I won’t call it a bad game design (maybe not the hind d fight though).
It’s just a shame Konami ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up like they always do by doing a terrible port.

Did not finish the games because I value my sanity and time. Metal Gear 1 is impossible to beat without a guide or spending hundreds of hours on it. I know it's an 80's game but I still think it has bad game design with its extremely cryptic gameplay and directions. Metal Gear 2 is actually really great but I just don't find it worth enough to pour in hours into the game. I ended up watching the walkthroughs for both games on youtube and that felt like a much better experience for me. You might like them if you like challenging retro games.

Having played Metro 2033 before, I didn't have high hopes for Last Light. I generally don't like horror games or games that involve mindlessly gunning down mutant monsters but this game ended up being one of the best games I've played. Like the first game, the post apocalyptic setting and atmosphere are the biggest strengths of this game. However, the general plot line, pacing and gameplay felt much better than its predecessor. Even though I got the "bad" ending because the Metro series has a somewhat stupid morality point system, the whole experience was super immersive and intense.

Good action game with a generic hollywood type story. A bit disappointed about the lack of focus on stealth and some bad missions but overall not a bad experience. All cutscenes should be skippable though.

Great action-driven game with beautiful graphics. Didn't really like the tedious puzzles but still had enjoyable contents.

Still holds up pretty well, decent stealth elements and story. Looking at the original version of the game, I wish they would've kept the art direction and just optimized the enemy AI and gameplay. The worst part of the game was definitely the navigation system, got lost so many times.
