+ Its just that old game, just made playable on new pcs, higher screen size support and steam for multiplayer, remember the zone through msn?

+ Mod support with steam workshop (V4 update has made it 100x better)

-V4 update broke mods (They need to be ported/updated) So the chances of old mods being updated are slim

- Multiplayer has SO MUCH LAG but then there would be over 200 units for each player when playing on certain game modes so...


EDIT: Performance of the game has now been fixed, yay!

+ Well Written Story
+Good gameplay and tweaks to existing forumula
+ Amazing soundtrack and good voice acting
+Well designed models (New portal gun is a really good approach)


-Bad difficulty/learning curve, some levels are really easy, then you end up in a chamber, trying to complete it via walkthrough
-No tutorial chambers teaching the player gameplay tweaks, if there is then they are poorly implemented
-AEGIS voice has too much bass, may not sound right on certain sound systems/computers (Needed to turn on subtitles half of the time)
-Major FPS drops on certain levels. (Some maps with a lot of dynamic content (First few and last few) Bad optimisation
-Lighting glitch with the portal gun (Goes wierd when going through portals)

The stanley parable is an amazing game, and is amazingly failful to the Half Life 2 mod made all those years ago, with more content from the narrator, a soundtrack and extra endings, it is a really good game, although I think the price is a little too high against how long you will be playing the game, but that depends person to person I guess

The main dissappointment with this game though, is the lack of the "Eight game" which was shown in the demonstration version of the Stanley Parable, the demo is its on game in itself and is a must play, before you try out the main version
Another thing which is missing is the music that played during the cutscene in the HL2 mod doesnt return, which is a shame, but the "Eight game" is a must have, hopefully it will be released as DLC in the future

At release, this was a amazing game, sadly now it is a shell of its former self due to broken developer promises and lack of updates

Because of this game, I looked into Uber Entertainments other ventures, which are also bad. PL failed, and during that time, they launched a kickstarter for ANOTHER game, yep, makes perfect sense
