Although only a concept, it would be really cool to see this turned into a full VR game (Even its as simple as a taxi game)

There isnt much to do, you only fly around in a ship through a small city that looks like its from Bladerunner but its still cool

Controls are okay but could do with HOTAS support (Frontier, please hire these people and get them to do something for Elite please!)

Part horror game, and part walking simulator, SOMA leaves you with tons of questions, with the story being stuck in your head ages after playing it. SOMA is a really well-written and structured game and is a must have

Now, I NEVER play horror games, but its themes (that i dont want to spoil) makes it worth so well. Plus its set in a underwater base so now I need to play subnautica again)

Good:
Good voice acting and writing as usual
Okay concept (Portal in VR would be very hard to do)
Loads insanely fast! (very strange to see a Portal game made in UDK)

Bad:
VERY short, doesnt feel like a game, as soon as it gets good, games done (I finished it in 10 mins!)
The okay concept runs thin very quickly, which is the limitations of vr locomotion and the gun you use to pull items towards you, all you do is teleport places and put cubes on boxes, thats it.
A little buggy, doesnt work on my headset unless you set the .exe to windows 7 compability mode (unless you like being stuck in the floor)

After having it on my wishlist for a good few years now, I finally picked up the Turing Test
As a massive fan of Portal and puzzle games in general, this scratches the same itch as Portal did
With its interesting sci-fi story and computer AI, it does sound similar but the gameplay is different enough to make it a good game
The character you play speaks throughout the game and the conversations between her and the AI is well written, the AI gives the same feel as the Narrator and GLaDOS

As me in around 2013, I would say, PLAY THIS GAME! I have spent over 1,600 hours in this game, and more money that I would like to admit, and even dabbling in competitive (Before it was cool) but it seems that valve no longer care about TF2, all the updates that are released are nearly always broken, and content added are always from the community (A technique copied from bethesda and skyrim modding) The list of bugs in this game keep getting bigger, in a game that was released in 2007, it has now ended up being a badly programmed bloated monster that takes too long to load into a game.

Anyway, the game has essentially remained the same since the Mann Vs Machine updates a few years ago (Not counting new hats) and a few weapon nerfs (That valve loves to call rebalances) Team Fortress is now a shadow of its former self, with the only players in game now, are the people who have no idea how to play, and the so called 'pros' with unusuals and expensive gear. Which is a really big shame, but times have changed and even the release of Overwatch has gone past with Valve not even updating TF2 with even small QOL tweaks that could do so much

RIP Team Fortress :(

The successor to Rollercoaster Tycoon, Planet Coaster has to be one of the best games of 2016 and the better game compared with Elite: Dangerous

However, I cant recommend it, for a few reasons:

Park Management:
The most important feature for a simulation game - There isnt much of it. Compared to RCT2 and RCT3, its been over simplified and is sometimes confusing where your money is coming from. Another issue is staff, controling them is too over complicated and you need to spend money to train them to make them work faster (Although I can never see any difference!)

Balancing:
When starting a new park, it seems like I am constantly fighting to earn money, until you place a big gamble on loans and build a coaster, suddenly everybody is going onto the new coaster and you suddenly find you have a lot of money, shouldnt everything be equal?

Rides:
Managing the rides in your park is very confusing, rollercoasters cant have more than one station, which increases waiting times (Even with setting block sections) This could be fixed by using 2 stations (With one unloading and the other loading) (Just like the old RCT games)
The track rides that people use for dark rides are lackluster and arn't dynamic enough. There is no Disney Omnimover-like vehicles and you cannot set different ride speeds for sections of track (For example, pausing the cars during a action sceen then speeding them up for a escape)

Visuals:
The visuals work perfectly for this game, although because it looks good, it has a lot of issues. Because of big parks and graphical features such as DOF, high quality shadows and water, it really effects the framerate. As usual for frontier, (see RCT3 and bad AA in E:D) the game is badly optimised. On my gaming PC, I can never reach 60 fps and is normally around 30, this is until you fly the camera around your park and it only gets worse the bigger your park is and how many visitors in the park you have.

Anyway, Planet coaster could be a good game, however I still treat this game as a beta because of the missing features and performance issues.

(Buy Planet Coaster)

RCT4 as been in development hell since RCT3 came out, a few years ago, Atari woke up and announced 2 RCT games, a PC version, and a mobile game (Yes, its bad)

Since then, RCT World has been around 3 dev studios before being released, and it clearly shows, the game looks nothing like the original trailers which makes me expect that Atari forced the companies to start the game from scratch (Maybe each time)

This game is a buggy, slow loading, bad performance mess, the only reason it was released was because of frontier announcing Planet Coaster (Frontier, who made RCT2 DLC and RCT3)

The only interesting thing about this game, is that it runs unity, which makes the workshop support a little different (Because people can just give 3D models to the game and they turn into scenenery, so you can have nearly anything)

Bought this season pass cheap when bethesda mentioned a price increase

Even before that, the DLC in Fallout 4 is disappointing, Far Harbour and Nuka World are okay, but they are helped with useless addons to help build settlements and waste time building a vault for no reason apart from it looking cool

I never even finished Nuka World as I got burnt out by Fallout 4 and the rest of the DLC at that point, but its such a shame that Fallout 4 - as the entire package, is awful compared to Fallout 3 and Skyrim :(

Essentially one of the best Lego game ever (Not counting the old star wars ones)

Lego Jurassic is just so fun! It has the perfect mix of Lego comedy and faithfulness to the films (It has been changed a little bit to make it kid-friendly but thats part of the charm)

The game is also a really well made port for PC and even has support for Ultra-wide resolutions without any manual editing, although the options menu doesnt have anything to turbo-boost the sometimes low anti alasing and low shadow resolutions

The only problem I have with the game is its legnth, there are only 5 chapters per film (Jurassic Park 1,2,3 and world) Which I found annoying but oh well. There are a lot of exploration to do once the story has been done (Like a normal lego game, red bricks, gold bricks, minikits etc) But the free-roaming around the parks makes up for the lengh, solving little puzzles to get the game to 100%

This is also the first Lego game I have been playing so much that I have nearly got 100% and the achivments, I think I may move onto Harry Potter next!
