There has been people sending suspicious links. Be careful, they usually contain viruses or malware to steal your data. This is specially dangerous for people with credit card info in their profiles or valuable goods in their inventory.

They are very easy to recognize:

-They send friends invitations with private profiles and usually cute profile pictures to attract mostly male gamers (they also use anime pics)
- If you can see their profile, then check their level and library. They are usually in 0 level, or sometimes they have some free games in their libraries with very low or zero hours played.
- The reason they don't have paid games is because they know their account will be closed as soon as other players (like me) report them to Steam

- Also, they don't need to be your friend to send you a link.
- Sometimes they will just leave the link in your profile page, and they will say something like "Hey I wanna trade with you but I cannot send you a request, in this link you will find a picture of my inventory"

- Never, NEVER open any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ link, NEVER!!!
- Just to give you an idea, I use a licensed anti-virus and it always finds malware and viruses in those links
- And to avoid these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to post links in your profile go to your privacy settings and change it so nobody can post messages in your profile unless they are your friends or get your approval.
- And of course always make sure you know the person you are adding. I will only add a low level player if I'm sure he/she is a friend in real life or, if it is a stranger, if at least I have played with him/her long enough
-Be always on your guard
