New Player experience has gotten tremendously better in recent years which was, at least for me, the major hold up in recommending it to others.

As a free to play game I think Digital Extremes has done this one generally right. You really can take it as far as you want in the game without any investment. The only challenge to that is your own patience, but everything in game (with exception of one founder warframe) can be had and there is viability throughout the game for pretty much all gear. At the time of this review I'm a little over 500 hours into the game and haven't spent more than $10 on some premium currency once. But then i'm also a cheapskate. That said Digital extreme is well worth your support. A great developer that does well by their community.

The graphics are somewhat polarizing i'll grant. It can be easy to dislike them depending on your expectations, but hang in there, the universe and stories within are great and get at why things look the way they look. Cool stuff.

Overall the game is just straight up fun with lots of varieties in gameplay, some great stories, and if you like grindy games this scratches this itch too.
