This is the first call of duty I've played since Black Ops 2 way back when it came out. This game has been so fun to play that it's actually sucked me into the series as a whole.

Campaign - Cinematic asf with a very compelling story. It was shorter than I thought it'd be but still a lot of fun. The story concludes in a very unqiue way, and the gameplay is presented in a way that compels a bit of replayability which is really cool. The campaign feels like a AAA fps game to it's peak; refined, polished fun.

Multiplayer - Extremely fun and rewarding. Gets me into a flow state in a really cool way. This feels like peak call of duty to me. Not a fan of some of the maps in rotation, wish we could toggle which ones we want to queue. Also, the skins/operators are disastrously expensive. Around $20 for one operator or skin is insane. I was thinking of buying some after getting into it, only to be immediately turned off. For $5, I would have bough a couple absolutely, but with how expensive they are, I absolutely will not.

Zombies - Amazing. Very fun.

Misc -

The graphics are absolutely stunning. The maps have such an asthetic and are just gorgeous.

There's some bug where when I start up multiplayer, it won't ever connect to a match. I can tell it's bugging out when it just says "searching" instead of showing my ping. Sometimes, it'll get stuck on the starting ping and never change, showing me that I need to restart my game. Thus, everyitme I want to play multiplayer I'll have to restart it a few times to play. It's not the end of the world, but is annoying. Another weird bug is that everytime I start a match, my level shows at 1. After playing a match, I'll earn all my levels back.

Serious Sam 4 has been overall enjoyable. There are some gorgeous levels, the gun play feels very satisfying, and the gameplay has the classic Serious Sam moments with an overwhelming amount of enemies. As a fan of the series, it was very enjoyable. There's been noticeable performance issues that held the game back, and certain moments throughout the game felt less like a challenge to overcome, but bad design choices that were just unfun to trudge through. The story is also a mixed bag, feeling like a corny 90s-2000s action movie. The dialouge can just be annoying and the story can feel like something you just have to deal with to get to the good parts, which should never be the case. I'm curious to see how else Croteam could present a Serious Sam story.

Really enjoying this game.

It takes the concept of 1v1 arenas from games like CS and turns it into it's own little hub of this niche.

I love that this game understands it's little niche and stays in it.

Recommendations: More character customization and replays after you get killed

I played all 3 borderlands games (excluding the presequel when they came out) and I'd say this was the best borderlands game out of all of them. The iconic borderlands gun system feels like it was refined and fleshed out the most here, the worlds you explore are very unique and honestly they are really gorgeous at points too. The art style really looks cool here. I thought the story was fine. Games like these tend to have the story as a means to just keep you moving forward mroe than anything and that served it's function while also keeping me interested. Id say that the 4 playable characters were pretty boring though - I remember borderland 1 and 2's characters feeling so unique and intriguing, but these ones feel pretty boring and stale.

Id say this is one of the best FPS games and would highly recomend it

This game is a passion project to the half-life series and it reflects within every aspect of the game

They expanded on certain areas, altered it to feel more fleshed out or modern, or for some areas simply just more fun. For other areas such as xen, they completely redesigned it.

I'm having so much fun with this game. The new / reworked areas feel so fun and fleshed out. If I didn't know this was fan-made, I would've thought Valve themself did it.

Xen is gorgeous. It's one of those levels in a game where I almost feel bad for moving forward. I want to stop and appreciate the design of each part. It reminds me a bit of Lord of the Rings, with a bit of Journey to The Center of Earth (the 2008 movie) as well.

The developers absolutely did justice to the Half Life series - they even took an extra step forward for it that they didn't have to do. I genuinely forward to any upcoming projects from this team

They launched an update right in time for a new rocksmith that made it so you cant start the game. Wish I was joking. It's one of those games that need to be connected to a server even for offline play, so they just got rid of the server. Game is unplayable now and has been for months.

There's no way to reset camera position or move the camera with a button instead of turning your head. As a result, it's insanely hard to manuver around the enviorment, with many things being out of reach. This is inexcusable for a VR game to lack these basic easy to program features. I can't recommend the game as a result.
