This is a ton of fun. It takes what's great about Assassin's Creed games (the ability to go vertical) then mixes it up with zombies, and tons of gore. The game introduces most of it's mechanics then sets you upon the game world to deal with swarms of zombies.

Then ... nightfall comes.

Among the many things that this game got right, nightime is perhaps the top. Daytime zombies generally mill around waiting for you character to come by and then become reactive to your presence. You get brave and start to think of yourself as the hunter, until your first night in the game. I won't go into further detail, because it's best experienced in person. But needless to say it's a blast.

One other thing that I love about the game is the option to play co-op with a friend. I don't remember the last time I had more fun in a game than when playing with a buddy, watching him run by and drop kick a zombie in the face, sending it flying.

While the combat isn't as tight as the previous games I preferred the scale and the story of this one.
