It's good, but not amazing. I think Phantom Liberty triumphs over the main story significantly, while the actual main plotline feels a little short and underwhelming regardless of which ending you pick. The side missions, combat and open world is pretty damn good, though. I'd recommend getting it (WITH PL) only if it's on sale.

an incredible and genius game mechanically that would be 10/10 if i could actually play it for more than a few minutes without getting a blue screen. wouldn't recommend it till it gets properly optimized.

after dark waters, i'd say this is genuinely one of the most fun FPS games i've ever played. is it perfect? lmao no. parts of it are still a total mess. there's still AI generated art on one of the missions, so if you're against that (understandably) then that's fine too.

but god, the responsive AI, the beautiful environments, the EXCELLENT music and sound design, and the way bursts of gunfire can light up a quiet night are mesmerising. the newly added helicopter camera, the new voice for TOC and the improved AI are excellent. this game is made by less than 50 people and that's insane to me. this game rules.

you can beat this in 1-2 hours and it's worth every second of it. this felt euphoric

trust me when i say this is the best game in the trilogy

honestly frightened me a little with how spooky and atmospheric it was. really fun, though like other reviewers have mentioned, i think more openness would've helped. really looking forward to this game!

Beautiful and simple and sometimes that's enough.

There is something incredibly relaxing and soothing about your screen being filled with hundreds of enemies at once and all of them getting obliterated at the same time as your frame rate dips lower than you ever thought was possible

Wasn't sold on the art style or gameplay at first, but after just about an hour I was deep into it.

I'm way past the ending and still getting new dialogue all the time. Super replayable, so much variation and such a great story and characters.

The game is scuffed as hell (and the second game improves that aspect plenty), but this game still has great gameplay, design and a fantastic story that really leaves you asking yourself questions.
