Game is sexy; Its an amazing ARPG that feels great to play, but thats not what it is.
Its a survival/crafting open world base builder w heaps of cues that remind you you are indeed a vampire (garlic, sunlight, gothic art, blood types, gargoyles, wine).
NOw, it IS grindy, difficult, and unforgiving. You will die to stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as do-good-ers smugly mock your brutal death for the 5th time because you didn't exhaust every buff possible, the thing that looked like a shadow actually wasn't, & Kevin just used his unavoidable chin-move.
Playing solo on brutal difficulty, each boss is a slog & makes you work; & some are downright filthy. The first time ____ turned into a ____, I nearly ____ my little princess gown, but it was too late, for by the time it was done, my ovaries had been plowed and adorned with emblems of thick white right in front of the 100% cleric.
