I think this is my favourite game of all time.
It actively rewards exploration in a more organic way than a lot of RPGs do, the world is littered with spells, items and secrets.
The local co-op experience is amazing, it has a dynamic split screen if your friend wanders too far away - it works really well.
If you love RPG games and enjoy world building with many well written characters, this may be for you.

Early Access Review
wow this is already really fun, I just played this for just under an hour with a friend of mine
I think with time this will be absolutely massive, it's already so good

played as a local co-op experience, with 2x PS4 controllers, not w/ VR

in 0.8 hrs a good friend and I were able to:
- play about 10x PvP fights against each other (nearly all on 'sharp' >:])
- play the mode that prevents tie breakers
- play the mode that unlocks random sword facts as we won against AI
- watch the singleplayer trailer/demo thing (damn the audio was way too loud on that)
- play the 'survival' mode, getting past ten to unlock FPP
- play a few FPP fights

The things we enjoyed the most:
- overall aesthetic was really cool
- some of the levels were really fun, I liked seeing the players move through the snow
- attack combinations
- variation in characters (lmao @ the drunken monk)
- character specific 'final' move / death sequence for fatal finishers
- the gore! beheading / removing limbs / cutting up the opponent - very savage and satisfying
- one of the stages had wooden posts, this was a bit of a mixed bag, I love the idea of having interactive stage elements that impact the fight (it can be hit by mistake/needs to be navigated around), but we lost it laughing when the camera was completely obscured by it, lol

Things I desperately wanted / felt were necessary:
- camera behaviour on death / post-match - sometimes players are off camera
- slow mo replay of how a fight ended, from different vantage points
- post fight - replay of every hit that was landed / struck their body
- post fight - diagram/heat map showing where blows landed
- post fight stats in general
- more unique finish moves (nearly all of them end with the beheading,... which is awesome don't get me wrong)

Other ideas that are a bit more outrageous / could just be plain stupid:
- perhaps the finish moves could be a bit more like Sniper Elite - where it goes into xray mode and shows the damage :)
- 2 handed weapons (?)
- shields (?)
- being able to fight while crippled (e.g. limping on a stump/weakened leg, swapping sword to weak arm)
- being able to lose the fight via blood loss

Is there a patreon or kickstarter for further support?
love it, thanks for existing

- Challenging combat
- RPG system can be rewarding once it's understood
- Combat can be satisfying, and incredibly frustrating
- Atmospheric
- Very interesting plot, plot exists by way of cutscenes, dialogue and written lore
- Really cool take on cooperative play, this is a great game even if you don't have any friends!
- Part of the appeal, but also potentially a problem is how cryptic this game can be for a newcomer, nothing is really explained properly
- Insane/amazing level design, everything is sort of connected
- Imo this is not an entirely complete the game, it feels like the rails somewhat fall off at the end
- Hundreds of hours of fun, I've only really scratched the surface, and I've played ~100h.
- I'll probably get into this game again at some point and spend another few 100.
- There are a fair few hackers here and there in coop, it hasn't been a /huge/ issue for me, but I could imagine if someone used their power for evil it could be really annoying

- If you like the humour of South Park you'll most likely find this game funny.
- - That being said, the rough split of funny:unfunny imo is like 60:40
- - Sometimes I find the humour a bit too crass (obviously)
- Really rewards fans of the show, references from even the earlier seasons
- Could on ocassion drag
- The plot / dialogue is actually quite polished, it feels like a grandiose episode of South Park
- Combat can get a bit repetitive, the game intentionally adds complexity to the battle system at certain points to keep it fresh, and it for the most part works, but by the end you're just executing muscle memory and not having to think about much
- I thought the initial price was high, but https://www.steamprices.com/au/app/213670/south-park-the-stick-of-truth is suggesting it was always fairly low :| - either way I got this at what feels a great price for the content
- About 10-25h of content.

Had a really fun time with this game and some friends.
You do eventually hit a wall of progress, which kind of ends the game.
It's at least 20 hours of fun though, if you aren't using a guide, then probably closer to 40 - 80, because some of the.. 'puzzles' (?) are really random and specific.

Kojima at his best.
Surreal cinematics, open world stealth gameplay.

Best game in the genre of stealth historically and now imo.

Started off really strong, ended reallyyy weak.
Very disappointed with the second season.
The first season was good fun.
It's just a choose your own adventure with decent production quality.

The best of the mass effect series imo.
What I enjoyed:

- RPG elements
- Some stealth mechanics
- Immersive world
- Good dialogue / thought provoking
- Able to explore a galaxy with freedom

What I didn't enjoy:

- Early game difficulty can be high depending on early subtle decisions
- Combat is very clunky, but somewhat endearing
- A lot of planets without dialogue/unique species
- Pacing could be a bit awkward occasionally

All of the elements I enjoyed in 1 didn't seem to carry through with 2.
What 2 brought to the table:

- Polished graphics
- Better first person shooting mechanics
- More of an 'on rails' experience

2 didn't really reflect many of the choices made in 1, the most crucial thing it carries forward is one of the final parts of 1 where you choose to save/not save a group of people (avoiding spoilers).
Otherwise some of the choices are just not dealt with/forgotten.

I was hoping for a smooth karting experience, one that could be played fairly competitively with my friends ala Mario Kart Wii.

Sadly the gameplay seemed very clunky.

- First person shooter
- Great sc-fi plot
- Very immersive
- Amazing level of detail
- Amazing soundtrack
- Great sync of soundtrack with environment
- Provides an open world feel at times, but is quite on rails
- Great dialogue
- Typical 'empty' primary character so users can project themselves
- Game mechanics are kept interesting, doesn't just rely on click and shoot
- Dystopian world under tyrannical rule
