I got this game on sale for $15 and its broken in so many ways. This game crashes on a regular basis and not only that, it seems to always be late in the 3rd or sometime in the 4th quarter so I've played almost a whole game, just for it to be thrown away.

The two common crashes are the game just randomly closing, or when you go to sim to your next appearance, the game slows down to a complete stop and never goes to simulate.

On top of this, the game seems to come with the worst of all possible worlds. You pay for a full price game, then it's littered with micro-transactions. You need VC for everything, the higher your rating, the more expensive each rating point is, if you ever want to dunk on a defender who isn't in good position? Have to use VC to buy a dunk package or any contest will force you into a layup. I'm refusing to buy VC, have over 100 hours, and my player is only an 84 overall. Now I will also mention that I've created multiple builds before settling on the one I'm going to move forward with, but most people end up creating multiple players before figuring out their main.

On top of that, once you spend VC, it's gone and making a good build is very complicated. Most casual players are likely to make a ton of mistakes and find they spent a ton of VC (whether relentlessly grinded out or paid for), just to get obliterated by cheaters or people with optimized builds. You can't even tweak the max of the individual attributes on an existing character.

The last big issue is blatant hacking, I've ran into several players (almost every day I see at least one) that are clearly hacked accounts. You see 99 overall player, look up their 2k card and it says they're a 60 overall with an impossible amount of potential rating points. I've also had to guard a center who weighed less than 100 lbs, was 7+ feet tall, was as fast as a point guard, had a 3 point and mid-range that always went in, and had over the max possible reach (arm length). He almost always got the rebound and I eventually left because it was impossible to play against this person.

All of this said, I enjoy playing the game and will probably play some more because I enjoy when I can get a good rec or park game. Playing a bunch of games in the offline MyCareer games can be fun as well, but I can't say I'd recommend it because of the above issues. However, at this point I probably would be denied a refund, and my character is high enough rating to be useful in the park and in rec games to where I can benefit the team even if my match up is much higher overall. Though it can be shut down by a 90+ overall who plays properly and/or counters my build. Knowing what I know now, I probably wouldn't have bought it even for the $15 I spent, much less the full price.
