It's a spooky labor of love, all from the mind of one person.

Play with friends for a fun time, or with randoms for an even better one!

Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth and final game in the Batman: Arkham series. Like many other games before it, the game has its ups and downs but I will save the list for later. The story, like the previous titles, is fan-f'ing-tastic. There are times in the game where you start to feel for Batman and the other characters. While playing through the main story line I urge players to go through some of the side missons or to explore, to break the monotony and learn about some classic Batman characters. Regardless of all the prais I can give it though, the game does not have a very stable framerate for mid to low tier PC builds.

Pros
  • The Story
  • The Combat
  • The Mother-f'ing Batmobile
  • Replayability
  • Storyline DLC

Cons
  • Finger Strain
  • The Combat
  • The Mother-f'ing Tanks

Since I have listed the Pros and Cons that stick out to me, I guess I'll talk about each topic from top to bottom.

The Story - Explained that one in the first paragraph

The Comabt - The feeling when you puch someone and the get KO'ed, the flowing choreography, the gadgets, the enemies. When combined as eloquently as they are make combat feel fantastic.

The Batmobile - Need I say anything else?

Replayability - With hours of DLC, story line, side missions, challenges, trophies, etc. the game will take a long time to 100%

Storyline DLC - They Storyline DLC add mutch wanted story for some of our favorite characters in the game, like Harley and how she is handeling the unfortunate passing of a loved one.

Finger Strain and Tanks - Holding the Left Trigger for an extended amount of time gets tiring on your fingers. They should have made the tank configuration teggelable. The tanks also get a bit annoying.

The Combat (again) - The combat gets repetitive sometimes, especially for veterans to the game series.

This game is horrendous.

  • The UI needs reworked
  • You don't get any instruction on what to do or how to do it
  • It is utter garbage

The developer has failed at his first attempt on a game with a similar name (Blood of Old) and when the game got massive amounts of negative reviews, and when people were catching on to the fact he was hushing those people with lawsuits, he took down the game and put this one up. How did this game come through the Steam Greenlight the first time, you ask? He offered free keys to those who upvoted it, and it got enough upvotes or whatever to get put on the steam market. Yes, the first game was as bad as this one too. Please no one by this game. It would be the worst $11.99 you spend.

As a long time Dark Souls fan (2012), and the series coming to an end due to the leave of Miyazaki, I needed to find a new game. This game, even in pre-alpha, is very Souls-esque but with it's own very unique way of adding time, randomization, and a personalized armory, into the formula.

The game however doesn't have the ambiance, reactive feel, and visuals that Souls-Born had, and needs a fresh UI. These will hopefully be changed by Febuary 2018, when they plan on the game's release. Hopefully since I have purchased the Alpha, Beta, and Full Game keys, I can see the progression and give updates, if I remember, on what they change, add, and remove from the game, aswell as give my own suggestions and some from the community too.

I would highly reccomend this game to fans of the Souls-Born games, aswell as suggest backing it up on kickstarter. As of 5/8/17 @ 11:37pm Eastern Standard, they have 104% funding.

Edit 1; 2/21/2018 : The game has had an alpha pushback release to sometime in Q2 of 2018 and a beta in Q3 2018. The developers have been keeping us updated with small things on the discord but they do not very often release dev updates or dev blogs for those who have supported the game. If there is one thing about the Dev Team, it would be communication about major changes and showing off what it is they are working on.

The last "Hellpoint Update" was December 9th, 2017, which showed off concept art of what I suspect to be a boss, their kickstarter merchandise, Status Effects, Audio, level design, a new area, new enemies and a CONFIRMED official release date of Q1 2019! If you wish to read it I will provide the link.

I don't care for this game too much. The AI is very bad. I went through the fist set of missions taking no damage whatsoever. The story line is somewhat there but the game does't want you to focus on it at all and pushes you to play online matches. After the first set of the story line the online multiplyer as you will find is not ranked and you will be set up with someone with a higher skill level than you. However if you are starting to get into TCGs this is a decent one to start with.
