People who are leaving negative reviews for this game stating "there's no objective and I am roaming around clueless" are the same crowd who reads the manual while assembling an IKEA chair and still manages to build a three-legged monstrosity.

I am a huge horror nerd and one of the sub-genre I really love is found footage. This short game does a very good job of simulating a creepy atmosphere without ever using jumpscares. The photorealistic graphics alongwith the analog filter makes this an easy recommendation.

With the introduction to the first season, “Zero Hour”, it really does feel like the developers may understand the current state of the game. While a single map and a couple guns are better than no content at all, I do think it’s at least a step in the right direction with what we got in the beginning.

Here are my solicitude for the game :

WEAPONS

Personally I don’t crave 74 different weapons for a Battlefield game, as long as the 14 you have are interchangeable and manageable enough for it to feel like 74.

In most cases this is not what happens though, besides the M5A3, the BSVM, and the sub-machine guns. This needs to be worked on. DiCE made a PLUS system. Make me feel confident with the weapon’s abilities enough to want to use it and experiment.

Obviously, the K30 needs a nerf.

VEHICLES

This is the third game almost where the vehicles may have taken a hit with their mobility and reaction time, but these things are still way too powerful in the hands of a person petty enough to go 60-0 in a round.

Tanks feel alright. At first I felt their health needed to be nerfed for the ability to take on these targets as an infantry, but it’s the fault of a team for not using anti-armour weapons. If four teammates shoot at a tank, it won't withstand long.

Helicopters need nerfs all around. There's no rationalism in arming the transport choppers with that much fire-power. It takes a lot of effort to bring one such chopper down if both the passengers keep repairing the whole round.

Actually, nerf the stealth ability on what is essentially the humming bird 9000 attack heli. Don't make it immune to SOFLAMs.

ON FOOT MOVEMENT

Movement feels janky sometimes, and then great on others. It's because of DICE’s inane desire of making realistic looking maps, while also keeping its flow steady and clear with how people can traverse it for the video game it is.

I find myself bumping into rocks and having to take extra time to properly clamber up and over environments, pieces of sheet metal, and running around cargo containers my character should be able to up and over instead.

RIP knifing in general with how bad the hit registration is sometimes.

CONCLUSION

Specialists are at an eccentric place. Given how DICE have invested in this pursuit of specialists, I say keep them but bring back vanilla class system. It’s what made Battlefield unique. That being said, this game is not as bad as people make it out to be. When the gunplay feels as good as it can, this game is a solid 6/10.

I just feel dreadful that I pre-ordered this, when waiting for season 1 would've saved me some money and I wouldn't have missed much.

People's exaggeration about the number of cheaters is co-related to their K/D. I've seen players of this game and in no-way there's a hacker in every server. I am a beta player of BFV and countless good players are considered cheaters by recruits who have no idea of this game's possibilities.

Pretty good for an Indie game. Game is based upon the real case named The Dyatlov pass incident. Lemmino has a very good video of it on YouTube that I recommend watching.

Rockstar made all the DLCs free to play. They stopped selling the complete edition and the base game now includes -
