I'll try to write pretty much everything I dislike below, updating it as i get through the game, including tiny nitpicks and matters of personal opinion in no particular order because im too lazy to put it in order

Human characters are modeled pretty well but the animations feel uncanny as do the expressions, for example characters eyelashes staying in place when they blink. There are also a lot of recycled NPC models. There are a lot of cut scenes, so you're very often forced to look at people close-up that move more robotically than the metal protagonist and just hit that uncanny valley feeling right in the stomach with their awful lip-sync. Overall, the NPCs remind me a bit of TESIV: Oblivion.

Ragdolls are decent, but they glitch often and BADLY. within my first 20 minutes i watched a guy fly across the room after i shot him and then flop around in the corner like Garry's Mod

The music during combat feels pretty repetitive and gets old fast; doesn't really fit in my opinion

The crosshair is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thick and i personally hate it. Its hard to feel precise and badass with your shots when half the time, at long range, your crosshair is completely covering the enemy's head and you can't tell if you're aiming for their brain or their shoulder

subtitles can be weird at times, sometimes lacking punctuation and other times just having clear mistakes

The fact that you need a certain skill level to do some things that should be do-able without that. For example, you need Deduction 2 to scan a post-it note where a safe code is written, but the code is clearly legible on the note. This is the same level of Deduction needed to read ♥♥♥♥♥♥ barely legible graffiti that could mean anything. If a human can do it with ease, why can't a guy with computerized eyes?

Great proof of concept, but I'm leaving a thumbs down simply because people tend to not READ reviews and just look at the blue/red. The only reason I'm leaving a negative is because it's just so early in development that I don't see anyone spending $30 on this unless they're devout fans of the first game and wanna support the devs, or are just that impatient to wait for a full release.

i really really wanted to recommend this because its a beautiful game but the performance issues ruin it

they put out some ♥♥♥♥ anticheat update that stopped it from working on steam deck and all other linux systems. only buy if ur willing to put in the work to revert to an older version
