First time playing the game (after watching the show) and idk if the show just kind of ruined it for me since I knew what was going to happen but this game was super underwhelming. Even on sale at $30 a single playthrough only got me 20 hours and thats with pretty much searching every nook and cranny trying to find everything (I did miss some things). The game looks gorgeous for sure but the game play is pretty dated and boring tbh and just like the show I wanted more infected not human encounters. Idk, maybe I just had high expectations of it cause everybody swears its some amazing game, and after previously beating rdr2 before this, this game cant even hold a candle to that one.
The fact they split it up into two parts just seemed like a cash grab. The literally split a game in half and sold it to us as two full priced games is what it feels like to me after completing part 1. They should have just packaged both parts together into one bundle thats $60. Ill probably never play part 2 unless its like $10 because I know what to expect now, and thats unfortunate.

This game was amazing 20 years ago and its even better with modern graphics. 100% worth a buy. Theres been a few crashes but nothing major or rage inducing. Some more funky minor bugs that should get ironed out within the coming month or two. But over all have been loving every bit of it so far.

Purdy good bones for an early access game. Unlike most EA games the foundation is laid out very well for early access. Now its only up to Jagex to update it consistantly with good updates. I just really wish they would have included range and magic skill ups on EA launch :sob:. But boys we might have a decent game on our hands if jagex doesnt fumble the bag.

2nd time threw and still epic. In my top 10 of my all time favorite games for sure. Highly Recommend and worth even at full price. Do yourself a favor and try not to look anything up until you are just fed up searching. Looking things up or even following an online map reduces this game playtime by a lot. Dont rob yourself of playtime in a great game.

Season 20 is one of the best season of apex and brought some much needed Quality of life improvements to the game. But the cheating is completely out of hand. Before you would see one here or there as is common with F2P battle royals. But now its literally every game or every other game you run into someone with them. I'm not bad by any means after 1400 hours (got about 300+ on origin from launch) so I know its not a "git good" kind of situation. Ive literally spectated cheaters play entire matches reporting them and the system does nothing.
Do your job Respawn. Stop selling trash basic skins for $20-30 and promising free heirlooms (after giving you $300 lul "free") and fix your anti cheat or at least show that you are trying to improve it. Then maybe i'll change my review. Only time will tell I guess.

Imagine celebrating 10 years of early access and bad performance. Honestly though it is fun with friends. But for how long the game has been out it should be in way better shape and I cant give it a thumbs up solely because of that.

Never been a big fan of turned based combat games. But this game is amazing on all fronts. I haven't had this much fun/replay-ability in turn based game since Kotor 1 and 2 or DA1. Theres so many different routes and ways to go about things in different ways. The music, VA, and graphics are all extremely well done. FPS seems alright (sitting around 90 fps+ avg on 1080p with ultra settings on a 4070 with a old i9-9900k).
Would strongly recommend to anyone who has been on the fence about this game because of the turned based combat system like I was. You wont be disappointed.

Here I thought XYZ and Syncro summons were bad. No Konami has managed to make this TCG 10x worse with pendulum and link summons. Literally the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Nothing like sitting there for 5 whole mins on turn 1 while someone spits out 20 cards to summon and link summon over and over to end up with 3 cards that are insane. Pretty much makes any of the legacy cards from the original completely useless to play, Did I forget to mention first ever ranked duel (level 5 unranked player) I get matched up with a lvl 25 for my first game who takes 5 mins to set up his first turn. By the time it came around to my turn he had 2 2200+ cards on the field first turn. I just instantly surrendered cause I was using a structure deck that cant ♥♥♥♥ out 30 cards turn 1.

I'll def just be sticking to custom games with a friend for the entirety of this game.

After pretty much completing the story and all achievements besides the last piece we are going to get on full release, I can say confidently that Below zero is a good game. But I dont think its so good that its better than the first one. The cut content is really felt in this one. Alot of people complained about the voice acting but i thought it was a nice touch. But I dont think it should have been so much of the focus that other content suffered for it.
With a smaller underwater world the biomes dont feel as good as they did in the first iteration at least to me. there were also not to many places that were deep deep (900m+) which was kind of sad to see. The biomes more or less just all blended together in feel in BZ. While in the original each biome you came across felt unique and made you want to explore it further to see what else was there.
I would give it a star raiting but as the full ending hasnt been released yet it just wouldnt feel right to fully rate it yet. But I would say its still worth a buy at its current stage even at full price. These devs clearly work hard on their games and it shows in both iterations They deserve the support to continue marking great games like these. Maybe the next one we can finally get a co-op mode & story!

Edit:
After completing the game/getting all achievements I couldnt help but feel a little underwhelmed. But I suppose that could just be from it being hard to live up to the original. Will be interesting to see how/if they continue the story from were below zero left off in the future for sure.
Score 8/10
