How curious, why did they change the name of the game? Think maybe they're trying to escape some kind of attention tied to the previous name?

Man it sure is great to constantly have runs end because the developers have decided it's perfectly fine to have very thin, dark red circles in dark colour backgrounds indicating damage zones that can and will spawn around multiple, very similar looking types of zombies that swarm you constantly admist all the other visual clutter and area indicators flooding the screen from your own skills. Very easy to avoid taking hundreds of damage from something that is functionally invisible because the absolute disaster of visual noise.

Christ, basic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay design. The redesign also makes me question what the point was. The items are even more useless than they were before but now there's no stacking for bonuses, instead there's a handful of decent options and an overwhelming amount of ♥♥♥♥ that just dilutes the item pool and there's not enough rerolls to deal with it.

Not terribly interesting, very basic, meaningless metaprogression, small map, uninteresting characters and a pointless tacked on inclusion of farm elements that do nothing but just add a nuisance to progression. It would need 20x the content to be interesting.

This is what I get for deciding to support Sony. I have a PSN account but I'm not going to bend over backwards for their own vanity for "security" reasons when their network has been compromised repeatedly. I even mroe so eagerly await a new crash of the video game industry, all these companies that have grown too fat and complacent need to come crashing down with the realization that we can't and won't support them anymore.

POST REVERSAL EDIT: Just because Sony walked it back doesn't mean I'm changing my stance. I'm past allowing companies second chances, the fact that they've changed their mind this time doesn't mean they won't do it again in the future, just that they'll make sure the next time they want to do this that they can make the move faster. Bethesda set a precedent with this by instituting microtransaction DLC in Oblivion, and it was Bethesda's movements that lead to the "paid mods" fiasco through Steam that got walked back as well. Lo and behold, here comes the Creation Club, bundled now in all their games, where they have their own storefront to push paid mods.

If a company is going to try to ♥♥♥♥ the consumers, they're not going to stop just because they get caught once. Sony has been a trashfire for several years and they will keep burning.

Subsequent Re-purchase edit: I'm a dirty ♥♥♥♥♥ for zombie flavoured ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I bought this thing again just to shoot squid zombies.

I never paid for this DLC and now we've gotten it for free. Makes me wonder why I should ever bother buying DLC ever in the event the developer decides to just give it away later on. Hell, why not take it a step further and give your game away? I don't want to pay for it either but y'all seem pretty salty when your games get pirated.

Whenever you release your next game, maybe a Dying Light 3, I expect to receive a complimentary copy just to get ahead of the whole "being charged" process, along with free codes for the arena DLC you are going to launch first, just like the last time you released Dying Light.

I love getting hosed to death by suspects that saw a pixel and fire with perfect accuracy through a two-pixel gap before I can react. Very fun.
