Salvage #122 was proceeding as normal; I'd just spaced the only threats on Martin's scopes. So, feeling confident, I typed `open all` (doors) to speed up the scrap collection. A minute later the alarms blared: in an instant, Dora was disabled. Martin, listening for motion nearby, fell next—destroyed by an unseen attacker. I watched in horror through Jenn's eyes as the monstrous red shape disabled her before it continued prowling. Topher, the sole survivor, managed to sneak past the monster and grab some lures from Dora, which he then planted in a far-off room. When they went off, Topher grabbed Jenn's generator and managed to close off the doors. From there I routed the attacker in my own ship's airlock and then ferried it to an isolated part of the derelict where it remains trapped to this day. That gave our hero Topher a safe corridor to drag Dora and Jenn to safety. With heavy hearts we consigned Martin's body to rest eternal within that infernal rusting space hulk.

So yeah, it's a good game.

Fun! This is very niche, but you already knew that didn't you?

Engine start-up is the biggest hurdle but once it was running it's not too hard to discover and master the rest of the gameplay. I found the mouse-following camera unpleasant for the first few minutes but then didn't notice it.

Each time you learn to use a new control, it changes how you interact with the world, sometimes dramatically—that's hard to pull off and this game does it multiple times in its short span.

I would love to see the developer's "hard mode" (real-time, heat and other mechanics intertwined) to give it a bit more replay value.
