If you don't care about not having any time in your life anymore, get this game. It sucks you in and never lets go

A glorified loading screen simulator

(Example: go from A to B for this or that sidequest, most of which are similar to fetch quests -> mhm, how about 5 or 6 loading screens with 10-20 seconds of walking in-between each loading screen, for one part of a quest. After that you obviously need to return to the quest giver. Many of those quests could have been resolved if there were phones in the future. Hint: they seem to have disappeared)

Outside of loading screens it feels like a 10 year old game, no matter whether you consider the story itself, cumbersome quest design, inventory management etc. If that is supposed to be the pinnacle of Bethesda, I don’t know what to say…

(at least for the inventory there are good mods. Seriously, why can't Bethesda get that done within years, when volunteers can improve it within hours or days?)

The game has improved, maps were adjusted, smaller maps were released, classes are back.
I think the game is now in a state where it can be recommended

Core gameplay is good

Maps are too big, sometimes walking is just not an option anymore. I miss BF3
Not enough modes (conquest and breakthrough, I personally don't like the second one)
Weapons are unbalanced (Assault rifles are weaker than SMGs, Sniper rifles are stronger than RPGs against tanks)

I hope smaller maps and more modes will be released, then I will recommend this game

I played Human Revolution before this.

I will compare it to its predecessor here:
+ The story makes a bit more sense, but is based on the predecessor
+ The controls are more accessible
o I personally liked the locations of the predecessor more, although here the cyberpunk feeling gets more across
- Hacking is still the same, easier with keyboard and mouse than controller (moving the mouse, clicking and pressing C is faster than moving the controller, keyboard entries are also quicker)

Also I have to mention that some references to the predecessor's story are not explained within the game, which might make some things a bit less coherent. (I did skip a recap video in the beginning, so those things might have been mentioned there, but I cannot know for sure)

The game often crashes for me or gets stuck on a loading screen, which is very unfortunate. Once I also had a save bug, where I would not be able to save the game anymore until restarting. This cost me quite some time before googling it and finding out that it is a bug.

The DLCs are short but enjoyable, and worth a sales price, but not the full price in my opinion.
