Overall, this is a great basis for this game that needs some polishing. I will preface this by mentioned I got the game through the Jingle Jam 2023 bundle, meaning my view on the game is not based on it's full price on Steam (currently at £14.99), hence why I have marked this review as having received the product for free.

1. It has elements that will appeal to both casual and competitive players
   
2. The 1v1 golf gamemode (currently a beta in the game at the time of review) is really fun and unique
   
3. Yes, it is like Rocket League but golf (a positive because that's a good game, why not be like it where you can?)

1. Physics - This is the big one for me. It's inconstant across maps and materials on the field. It makes sense for different materials to affect your ball differently, but things like the rough are much gripper on some maps than others, without much of an obvious reason as to why
   
2. Low player count - this isn't the end of the world, but it really is something to keep in mind. There isn't much to do solo, and there isn't a couch co-op mode (as far as I can tell), and this can lead to you feeling a bit stuck in a queue for a game for a while

It's important to remember that, for me, these negatives aren't 100% deal breakers, but they might be to you if you have to pay full price for the game in its current state. There's a lot of potential here, and I will continue to follow it closely (hence why I am recommending the game), but it is important to keep in mind the state of the game for your purchase.

I will defend this controller to the day I die. Definitely a divisive controller, but once you configure it to whats best for your use cases its a top tier controller.

Please please PLEASE make a Steam Controller 2!

and just as an fyi, completely unrelated.... you keep your achievements after refunding something on steam.... ;)

So only played for a few hours now, but I think I can say with confidence that this is a good game. It's not amazing, but as just a chill world to explore and meet new people in it's really fun. I came to the game from the Josh Strife Hayes video and unlike some MMOs I've found a very welcome community to new players, joined a clan fairly quickly and they've been super nice and helpful :D It won't replace your "main MMO" but it's a fun game to pop into for an hour or so and chill in, and definitely deserves more players and awareness.

Quickest I think I've ever been to the Steam Refund page. I grew up playing Micro-Machines V4 on the PSP, and I got this hoping to relive that in a new modern way with a larger multiplayer and competitive aspect, I was hugely disapointed. If anyone wants to play this, just get a PSP or PS2 emulator and get Micro-Machines V4, a 12ish year old game which is much more fun than this.... this..... crap.

10/10 would fish again
