"Tryhard"
A online gaming term that has cropped up over the past few years. Most often used by those who are frustrated about their own ability (or lack there of) to counter those who are defeating them. In their thought process there is no possible way that they just need to improve their own game. It must be that the other person is some how "over performing".

There are also occasions where it is used by those who decide to play a game in different manner then designed or intended. Such as being "friendly" with the enemy team, withholding assistance from their own team, and etc but when confronted with it or interrupted in some way that is the result of normal gameplay they then proceed to use this term as if the normal behaving player were the one having a negative impact on the game.

Lastly it is used when someone behaves as if a game is being played normally even though the majority of the population of said session is not.
