I wanted to wait until after I completed the game once before leaving a review. Mostly because I knew I was going to play this game all the way thru ever since I played the first chapter in one of the beta's. The beta set the standard high for me and I felt like I was being set up for a fall.

Many games have done that to me in the past. This game was not only the exception but brought me back to how I enjoyed games a decade ago. Larian Studio's not only produced one amazing game but did so while in one run instead of chopping this masterpiece into bits and selling them one microtransaction at a time. My mind has been at piece and fully swept up in the narrative due to no intrusive sales mechanics. This alone makes it a GOOD game.

What makes it a GREAT game though is that you have so many choices, there is so much to explore, and the re-playabilty is huge. The story is engaging, the graphics are gorgeous, the combat is fleshed out, and the pacing is whatever you make of it as a player. It allows you to be a speed demon if you so desire or a greedy lootgoblin peering into every stray vase or crate.

I will certainly be playing this game for years to come and if Larian decides to release an expansion I will be more than happy to fork over another 60 bucks for it.

To those of you reading this review. Even if you decide to not play this game I still recommend buying it for a friend that you know will like this sort of game. Because good game developers deserve to be rewarded for not only great product but for doing it in a non-predatory way. We need to send a message to all these huge studio's who have forgotten that.

Welp, I am off to start my second play through.

Hope you you enjoy your adventures as much as I have.

The only thing that keeps me from playing is the fact that I have to unplug my orb weaver in order for my controller to work.

Only played the PC port of Reach for a few hours now. However, I think it is pretty solider. The gun play feels right, the game is stable on my PC, and it most certainly feels like halo with PC hardware.
