Smart AI, or other technological prowse. "wow" moments for a computer geek.
enthralling - high ambiance to include sound quality.
Games which allow you to explore,
games which are OK with people over / interesting story / interesting graphics
games where I can creatively problem solve.
games which allow me to justify tweaking or upgrading my computer. or where changing related settings makes noteable differences.

I don't like:
MOBA
Horror
Casual
Grindy / Time-wasters / pointless
Illogical, over-hyped 'logic' games (Dues Ex..!)

I don't often finish games. The best ending in fallout 4 is when you stop progressing the story when all the factions are (relatively) getting along and cleaning up the wasteland.

I'm looking forward to Star Citizen.
