Short game but such a beautiful story about immigration and the struggle to retain culture

it's barely a remaster, its just a reskin

nfs hot pursuit was a great game for its time, but the developers had the opportunity to add all the great parts of nfs most wanted and rivals, as well as many other racer vs. police games that have been released in the past 10 years, instead they made an aged game look pretty

i bought this game at 40% off and it still wasn't worth it to me
maybe if you really loved hot pursuit and want to play it again with a semi-active multiplayer then it is worth buying, but for new players or people that are expecting more than the original game i cannot recommend this game at all

Amazing concept for a game and to get it at half price? Im sold!
Until I played

The movement mechanics are so frustrating and dont get better as you play,
you walk near any wall or tree and theres a 50/50 chance youll start climbing
want to sprint? well sprinting is the same button as jumping with no real explanation of how to do either
want to escape a predator? pythons will climb 90° rocks and crocs will lunge at you from 20 ft. away

There are some positives,
the tree swinging mechanics are super fun and although I noticed other people struggling with it I found catching branches easy (although maybe will catch a different branch than expected)
I love how you have to discover the world with little help and slowly progress your species
and overall just the slow progression of the species is such a good idea that probably just needed a bit more work before release

So no, I dont recommend this game, at least for now, get it at a good sale or if the devs make small tweaks to improve quality of life and just game mechanics in general

Although similar to pokemon, this game isn't pokemon.

The battle system is a refreshing take on turn based battles, not completely better but not the tired old same thing.

The quests are great, although the quest tracking needs some work.

I love the breeding system, not allowing infinite eggs from the same creature, as well as basing egg hatching on time rather than movement, are great additions to make breeding easier yet almost more skilled?

The only downsides to me are that I'm definitely more of a casual player, so I do wish I waited for the story to be more complete. I have completed (I think) all the quests available to complete for the time being and now have to wait for further developments despite wishing to play.

Overall I'd suggest this game if you are interested in the breeding system, competitive battles, or just trying a new creature taming game. But if you are more of a casual player who is interested, I'd say wait until at least winter 2020 if not full release.
