Game is interesting and has good mechanics, a big talent tree and tech tree and an interesting way of obtaining new items, but it's lacking in the combat department from my limited time playing the aniversary free weekend. You are fighting animals mostly. There is a mission we did where you have to defend an objective 3 times, but it was very lackluster to say the least. I was expecting hordes of enemies to defend the objectives from, but was greeted with 1-5 animals (for the whole duration of the defense) spawning one after the other during the defense. I cannot recommend it in this state, but will reconsider in the future if combat gets expanded on. For now it plays more like a build-a-base and discover-everything type of game to me. If you enjoy that, then I can recommend it because the other systems feel good.

Game runs very poorly. I don't think I should see any dipping in fps below 60 on my current hardware on max graphics settings, with no raytracing and native resolution (no dlss). I wish devs would stop relying on DLSS to fix their mess for them.

Don't bother buying this, they will be ending support (including official servers, can still play unofficial servers, but no more updates) for this game in june 2023 and rereleasing it for full price "upgraded" including ark 2 (basically forcing you to buy ark 2 to play the upgraded version of ark 1) in august. A big ♥♥♥♥ you to all owners of the game and people who're thinking of buying it a few months before end of life if you ask me.

It is recommended you play with friends, but otherwise the game is very fun if you love upgrading your own base to survive the hordes. scavenging weapons/tools/materials, maybe some "RP" with setting roles between your friends of who should find food, who should scavenge, who should focus on guns for everyone and so on. Overall a very good game!

I really recommend this game, it's pretty fun, entertaining, has a lot of cool bosses, dungeons, ideas. Right now as of writing this there is only korean voice language and a couple of european languages. Would definetely profit more if you add english and japanese voice packs and be able to change them if we desire. But overall a really great game! Love the graphics, special effects and complex attacks!
