Received this as a birthday present years ago, around 2016. It honestly never got any better in all this time - new updates are forcing users to use their new (overpriced) subscription service which would, under my assumption, be just as lackluster and retrograde as this. This is a hard buyer beware - don't invest in this software which will lose support after Dec 31, 2021 - nor their new subscription based service.

It fun, there comes a point when the time between upgrades becomes staggeringly slow - but it's good to treat it as it's called, and just idle it. I really enjoy when I've been saving up for something and finally hit a tier that gives me some new stuff to play through and do. I wish there were some balance changes to the BLC Coins, as I don't feel like I'm making a ton of progress with each crunch anymore - but it could just be the way I'm treating the game.

Fun for small bursts of playing, a great idler.

This game is incredibly fun. I play it in increments of 20m-40 minutes. It's a nice casual game, and though it might be difficult at first to get used to all the tools and what they do, anyone can get the hang of it. I have no knowledge in engineering backgrounds, heck, I don't even know how to change oil. However, with failures and experimentation, you can build a giant blade spinning monster truck or whatever else your sadistic heart desires.

Playing on Mac, I thought I'd have a huge issue with framerate and graphics, but honestly, as long as you're not building something with 65million bombs in it, you should be fine. The best part is the ability to control time value. If the game is too laggy, try turning down the time. It also makes for some pretty cool visuals.

Using my macbook pro 13 with Retina display, I was able to play fluidly for 6 hours, without any problems, but all of a sudden the game crashed and I have since been unable to use it again.

Edit:
After the last update, I haven't had any issues with Startup or crashing. The game is fun but if you're looking for a Minecraft type of game look elsewhere. You're pretty much playing as God in this game, and controlling a bunch of Dwarves. There is some light humor in the game, but it quickly gets old and repetitive. Use it as more of a casual game to pass an hour or so. Otherwise you'll be yelling at your Dwarves or constantly running out of resources.
