A very interesting game. Saw it on a few Streams and the battle mechanics looked very intriguing. I haven't touched these kind of free to play games for years but this one seems very fair. Also the soundtrack is quite a banger which is a huge plus for me. Overall I'd recommend it so far, even tho I barely have seen anything from the game yet. I am somewhat judging from the Streams that I saw (was around the end of Canto 5) and damn, I was like "I want that too!". Quite a lot of mechanics to get into at first but I actually appreciate that kind of approach.

Saw it in a RCE video and it looked fun. Don't regret getting it.

One of the best games I've played so far. If you love Terraria, Minecraft and Stardew Valley this is pretty much a must-have.
The game also comes with mod support so you can tailor your experience.

Picked up GE3 due to having played Code Vein before and I love the game so far. It's fast, it's fun and I like the story so far as well (Currently rank 4 missions as of review time, will update the review when I am through the story).
Co-op also works pretty neat, tho you'll need friends to play with, given the age of the game but that's fine for me.
The first few missions were quite easy but also introduced the basics quite well. Imo the way to go rather than being just thrown into some fight.
Can't wait to play GE2RB and GER later.

Never thought I'd actually put a negative review for a game with such a high playtime that I've been enjoying for the last few years...but oh well...here I go:

The current graphic "update" is...questionable, while some things look a ton better than before others are.....yea, a flashbang is a joke compared to some effects now...Some graphic options aren't even working at all (glare/bloom setting for example), ghosting is causing eye strain, migraine and apparently also seizures (according to a forum post). Some bug reports on the official forum that were mentioning issues with said update were moved to "insufficient information" despite the template they want being fully filled out. This feels like they don't even want to address the issues at all.
Also it seems like that FF VII Rebirth as well as FF XVI are (were?) suffering from the same ghosting issues like FF XIV does now. Couldn't find anything about it being fixed or not but also didn't dig deep enough. If someone has more info on this let me know.
Overall this results in FFXIV being barely playable for quite some people (me included), so not a state I'd recommend the game at all, especially if you're having photosensitivity issues or you're an epileptic.

Update 8th November 2024:
No changes in that regard, still the same issues. Can't play the game without painkillers.

Am spending too much time falling asleep on all the furniture. :')
Also first souls-like game, took me a bit to get into but it's fun, tho going with bayonet first seems like I made it a bit more difficult on myself as a beginner with these kind of games. But eh, that way I have to pay more attention to how each boss moves which should help on the long run I guess.

Overall tho I'm enjoying my time, money well invested.

The new graphics update with the forced wonky motion blur and non-togglable aggressive bloom is causing physical pain to my eyes. It is tolerable in the previous regions up to Endwalker but the Dawntrail regions behave very weird. I can't recommend buying this expansion as of now.

Simply not a fan of FOMO stuff. Had some fun with the game in the past but this killed it for me.
