Giving a positive review in response to the mandatory PSN linking being dropped. Furthermore, Hell Divers II is a very solid gaming experience, the core gameplay loop is excellent, providing engaging coop, and the monetization is very reasonable.

Those being said it does pain me somewhat the amount of bugs that plague this game four months~ since release. A lot of these issues aren't minor either, with crashes being somewhat frequent, issues regarding friends list (i.e being unable to join 3/4 lobbies for no discernible reason), and also damage over time effects not functioning unless you're the network host for the lobby (????). The game is very fun but I would be lying if I said these problems didn't effect my enjoyment overall. My wish for this game is for the devs to take a step back and focus more on these issues and the many others I didn't mention even if it comes at the cost of slowing content. This game will survive if we don't get some new shiny toys for a bit. I don't think it will have the same longevity if genuine playability is given the backseat. That all being said, they could very well be sorting these problems and if they fix them I will adjust my review.

So I began the game not expecting much, all I expected was you know, being able to HUNT, but, alas, what I got was a German server hosted by Stinvich420 because I'm unable to host my own as I'm not a member. Then after about a half an hour of roaming aimlessly through the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ barren fields that theHunter contains, I spotted it, a deer. I took aim, fired, and instead of the deer dying, I was told that I lacked the license to hunt it. I mean who the ♥♥♥♥ wants to be able to hunt in a hunting game?

So I spawned...


And then I got mauled by red-bear.
A Must Own.

Dear Christ, this game is phenomenal. A game to play with friends if you have some free time.
