Introduction
Like most rogue-likes, I finally decided that I've seen all the content when I was nearly at the end of my run but tragically died due to unfortunate RNG of the game not giving a damn. This game is full of charm, slightly humorous dialogue, and some interesting unique characters. However, there is a lot that isn't great about this game that I just can't overlook to recommend this game. (TL;DR Below)

Gameplay
The characters in this game is probably one of the best things going for it. There are a bunch of whacky and goofy characters that you'll encounter that have some humorous dialogue and that you can tell that they don't really take the curse of the Ditto very seriously, well with your character anyway. It fits in so well with the kinda art style this game has as well that it just seems like you'd find whacky characters in this world.

As you traverse through dungeons, fighting enemies you'll have this familiarity of the way the game plays compared to The Legend of Zelda. It isn't a carbon copy of the game, but it takes what makes that game great and tries to implement it into their game as the main attraction. I do love the general gameplay, exploring this random world with 'random' dungeons was quite fun and entertaining for a while. However, it does become abundantly clear how lacking the variety of the entire game is when you play complete 2-3 runs of the game.

To start off, the dungeons get very familiar and repetitive pretty quickly. The good thing about these though is that it uses one of the toys you find in toy dungeons as it's main puzzle mechanic. However, I was able to predict what kinda room I would get to next sometimes after 3 runs, that's how lacking it is. Which isn't that bad, but considering the game tries to make you play through the game like 5-6 times for the TRUE ENDING and that it's a rogue-like, just feels repetitive and boring.

Following that, the trial dungeon bosses are just as bland and lacking. They didn't take the time to implement the toy you've used throughout the entire dungeon to defeat the boss somehow. Instead they made just 2 bosses (of which you can possibly fight the same boss twice in the same run) that have regular boss kind of attacks and that aren't very creative or challenging.

However, the puzzles that you'll encounter throughout these dungeons are pleasantly interesting. With the great use of the toys you'll collect, they use them to create some very unique puzzles that you wouldn't usually see. But again, sort of following the trend of Zelda with the dungeon puzzles, the only thing is again because of variety you'll see the same puzzles and they never really make them difficult which is a shame.

The most glaring issue that this game for me is that it sets itself out to be a rogue-like, but there isn't enough stuff to unlock to your next character when you die to motivate you to keep playing. If I'm honest, I would've rather seen this game have a FULL ON story with an open world, kinda like legend of Zelda, with more thought out dungeons, puzzles, enemies, bosses and so on. I feel like they just jumped on the trend of rogue-likes and rushed this, when it honestly could've been so much more.

And on last thing, BUGS. I'm not sure if I was just generally unlucky, or if people are looking over this but I had quite a few bugs throughout the game for the nearly 10ish hours of playing through it. I'll list them below, their not MAJOR game breakers (besides the one that soft locked me...) but their still there, and with this game not being early access I didn't expect to find these issues still lurking within.

Graphics
This is probably the main reason why I got this game, the art style is quite cute, colourful and has a decent enough variety to show off what it can achieve. It goes along very well with the not so serious dialogue that is thrown in throughout the game that it just suits the world overall.

Music
Another thing that this game does well is the soundtracks that you'll hear throughout your time playing the game. It obviously has it's fun and bouncy kind of music when your exploring the world, exploring caves but then has more serious and mysterious music when your in dungeons, fighting the final boss etc. etc. Does a great job of setting the atmosphere.

Pros
• Goofy and memorable characters
• Legend of Zelda inspired gameplay
• Quirky and fun music, can also be intense and serious as well
• Some unique toys that are used for interesting but simple puzzles
• Love the cute art style

Cons
• Bland bosses in trial dungeons, only 2 of them and sometimes you can face the same boss in both trials
• You can see the repetitiveness and the lack of variety in dungeons, puzzles etc. after 2-3 play throughs
• Very quickly becomes repetitive and tedious to complete multiple runs just to get the true ending
• Not as much replay value as you think, maybe 2-3 complete playthroughs
• Lack of attention to detail (stairway door, runs through it like a normal door)
• AI can be dumb and just fall into a pit trying to get you
• Doesn't feel like there's enough to pass onto your next character when you die, which is the main point of a rogue-like so I just felt like I achieved nothing besides a few levels up on Sword
• RNG of the game makes it more frustrating than enjoyable at times
• Bugs, bugs and more BUGS:
• In the tower climb you have to put these things that enemies drop (they automatically self destruct in like 15
seconds) into a skull thing that eventually unlocks the door after you've deposited 5 but the last one wasn't
accepting it so I was soft locked.
• Enemy stuck on corner
• Stuck in animation whilst eating
• Map says doors are locked when they aren't
• Sometimes map doesn't show you were you are or reveals the area you are
• The dungeon effect that makes it so you CAN'T USE toys doesn't work... so really makes you think if some
other effects are actually working as well...
• Alt-tab out made the screen go very small in the top left corner back to main menu and returns to normal
• Arrow red lines randomly appears onscreen and won't go unless you enter a different room

Closing Thoughts
The Swords Of Ditto could've been an amazing game, if it wasn't for it being a rogue-like and it feeling like a rushed game. Even though the game might look great, the gameplay lacks a whole lot that it's really hard not state what's wrong with this game. From the lack of replay value, to lack of dungeon variety, bland bosses, bugs, I feel like the only reason you'd purchase this game is because of the art style.

Introduction
Crome: Before Purgatory brings back the old school endless waves, with a competitive global leaderboard as well as that arcade feel of difficulty and those old school, gameboy advance graphics with the green tint. A really addictive yet challenging game that test your skills trying to get the high score. (TL;DR Below)

Gameplay
If you've ever played those old arcade games like Galaxian, Galaga... and... Galaxian (Can't think of over games that are similar to these...) then you'll know what this game is all about. Your a pilot with 3 lives to get through as many waves and to rack up as much score as possible. A real tribute to the classic arcade games, that really challenges you to see if you still have what it takes to get up on the leaderboard.

Controlling this game feels great, there is a sense of fluency and flow that you get as you move across the screen trying to dodge bullets whilst at the same time trying to destroy the enemy ships before your screen gets filled with so many enemies that it's just one big green block for the screen. Shooting feels great, and if you are able to wait long enough you get like a explosion type shot that damages an area that you shoot at.

The enemies that you encounter are few and far between, though there might be a lot of variety to them, they will still cause you a lot of trouble. Some of them spawn smaller enemies that will crash into you, whilst others have homing bullets, some of them have shields etc. etc. It really does start getting intense as you move through the waves and when the enemies start spawning faster and faster, making it more difficult to dodge bullets.

Scoring in this game has a unique twist on it though, the longer you stay alive and the more ships you destroy in a single life the better your score multiplier will be. There were a few times where the game was increasingly more intense because I didn't want to lose my multiplier, and so there is this layer of needing to stay alive for as long as possible trying to get the best score. You also level up, gaining XP with every ship you kill (start back at level 1 when you get game over), and as you level up your bullets will become faster and stronger. Though, I believe after getting double shot it stops there I would've liked to have seen more upgrades to add more variety and flavour to the game.

Graphics
The simplistic, green tint of the game gives it that odd school gameboy advanced feel, and it pulls it off very well. Along with the enemies looking like they were from Galaga and various other games of the similar genre. I do feel like there could've been more variety in the backgrounds, maybe after 5 or so waves you would shoot off to a different area or something, but apart from that, these graphics pay great respects to the old gaming days.

Music
Along with the classic look of the graphics, the music for this game is also old school gaming inspired and really suits the gameplay. As your blasting through waves of enemies, through space, you will be accompanied with classic old school sounding music that really hits that nostalgia that some of you might have for these types of games. Only thing I would've liked is more variety in the music.

Pros
• Steam leaderboards
• Arcade, high score styled gameplay
• Has that arcade feel of difficulty to it
• Controls has this fluency and flow to it
• Enemies have a variety of attacks to keep you on your tores
• Really intense and challenging
• Score multiplier makes the game even more intense

Cons
• Needs more variety in music
• Different areas as you progress through waves
• Along with the different areas, you could also include different types of enemies
• Would've liked to of seen more bosses

Closing Thoughts
Just a quick glance at this game and you probably wouldn't think much of it, but it surely is an intense, challenging arcade styled game which pays its respects to the 8-bit arcade style, along with it's gameboy advanced look to it. The Global Steam Leaderboards keeps the game interesting trying to get to the top or beat your own score, would defiantly recommend grabbing this game!

Introduction
Probably one of the most chaotic Shoot Em Ups I have ever played on Steam. At first glance, you might not think much of this game, just another Shoot Em' Up with some cool graphics. However, looking past this, there is a very challenging and

Story
Nowadays games are filled to the brim with convoluted stories that honestly I just can't get into. With long boring cutscenes that I just find mind numbing some of the time, but that's just me. However, what this game has in store is an interesting story with very short cutscenes played between each levels. Without spoiling too much, you are a girl who was left on the streets to die as people just walk past her. However when that happens she turns into a blackbird and takes vengeance on the towns.

Gameplay
Your main goal through each 4 levels is to destroy the outposts to spawn the boss and then obviously defeat the boss in the process. As you kill enemies you will obtain gems that you use to evolve your bird and get stronger, with different kinds of bullets that you'll shoot. Each time you get hit you will lose some gems and may devolve from your current bird. As simple as this sounds, you'll soon find out (especially the final boss) that this game is not that easy, dodging bullets becomes quite difficult an even more as your bird evolves.

As your bird evolves and gets increasingly more powerful, the eye that is your weakness also gets bigger so it makes it harder to dodge bullets. It becomes almost like a risk/reward system whereby you exchange power for more exposure to your eye. I quite like this, it brings a sense of having different play styles to the game. Will you be greedy and try to evolve as early as possible, or will you play through it more casually and just grab the gems that you come by? It makes for some varied playthroughs and increases the challenge of the game itself.

For some reason, there is no tutorial in the game to tell you how some of the mechanics function. For example, the bombs that you can use are best when you have a max combo (x30) that will get you the most amount of gems. The only way I found this out was by looking at a guide on the game about getting the Good Ending. A small thing, but I feel like it needed to be mentioned.

Something that I felt that was missing in this game was a lock on feature, and by that I mean like you shoot to the right whilst moving to the left. Although I think this was intended, there are SOME bosses that force you to lock on to shoot in the right direction which I thought was kinda odd.

The bosses that you encounter throughout this game are unique and very varied from one another. They all have their own little mechanic that challenges you in different ways, and mixes up the gameplay just a bit more. All well designed with 2 different stages, the first being the main mechanic in some kinda contraption, and then the second stage is the actual animal(?) that you have to defeat within the machine. Very unique and charming bosses that all provide their own kind of challenge.

This game also provides Steam Leaderboards that add to the replay value (if you're into getting high scores) along with multiple endings to the game. But unfortunately, I feel like the game leans too much on this to get your moneys worth for this game. You see, you can quite easily complete Normal Mode, with probably not much of a problem. However, the game REALLY ramps up the difficultly when you unlock True Mode, which adds more enemies, they also shoot increasingly more bullets, they spawn more etc. etc. So if your really not into replaying the same 4 levels over and over again you might not be a fan of this game.

Graphics
From challenging gameplay, to these old looking charming graphics this game really does have it all. Each level has its own theme along with its accompanied enemy types that suit the style of each level. The backgrounds are well detailed, as well as the bosses that you encounter along the way. Each level feels different from the last, and helps to keep the game fresh when playing through it multiple times.

Music
When you get chaotic gameplay, the next things you really need is an even more insane and chaotic soundtrack, and this game fits the bill for that. The soundtrack is varied as you progress through each level, becoming increasingly more intense as you fly around trying to dodge bullets and kill enemies. Sometimes the music even syncs with spawning in enemies which I thought was a neat touch!

Pros
• Interesting story told with short custscenes between levels
• Unique and interesting bosses throughout
• Sometimes the music syncs in with enemies spawning in
• Risk/reward system
• Very challenging gameplay
• Multiple endings
• Steam Leaderboards

Cons
• Game relies heavily on reply value to get your moneys worth
• No tutorial explaining some of the games mechanics
• Shoot whichever way you are looking, no locking in a direction (besides a few bosses)

Closing Thoughts
There is a certain charm to this game, with these old looking graphics, accompanied with a challenging Shoot Em' Up style of gameplay. Unfortunately, if the game doesn't hook you through your first play through then you won't be getting your moneys worth purchasing at full price, maybe wait for a sale. If you are however a big Shoot Em Up fan and love a good challenge this game is defiantly for you!

Introduction
Rehtona is an interesting puzzle game that experiments with different mechanics every few levels and isn't afraid to give you some really challenging levels, though sometimes tedious. Along with a great little story, and some cute graphics. (TL;DR Below)

Gameplay
Rehtona makes great use of simple cutscenes and dialogue to tell a simple story about their home world. There is nothing complex about the story at all, in fact the charm of it is because it's so simplistic. The cutscenes that play are great as well, there is no voice acting but it's all told with a little bit of text that is easy to follow.

When it comes to the actual meat of this game, you'll be surprised to know that there is a fair amount in store for you. The puzzle mechanics that you learn aren't just dumped onto you in the first world, but rather each world has it's own different unique mechanic that you learn to use. I really liked this, as it adds a nice amount of variety throughout the puzzles on each level of the worlds.

One of the main features of this game that is extremely useful that I wish other puzzle games would have is a rewind function. After pushing a block or spawning an illusion and you feel like you've messed up you can easily rewind that action and continue. I like the fact you don't have to restart the entire level just because you messed up.

However, as a result of this some of the levels are trial and error based, for example there are some levels need you to spawn a illusion right at the start of the level. So without prior knowledge of the level or extremely good planning before taking action in the level you'll have to restart entirely there.

As well as this, there is the occasional level that is extremely tedious and difficult to complete. For example, on level 5-4 you have to push a block at the bottom to get the block on the next level across and do that a few times to get through half the level. Maybe it's just me and my lack of ability to be half decent at puzzle games, but I restarted this level multiple times before seeing the solution. Kinda wish there was a hint or skip feature that you get after being on the level for X amount of time to avoid this.

Despite this, there are some challenging levels that aren't as tedious and really make you think about your actions before you take them. And as all puzzle games should be like, in the later levels when you finish a puzzle you'll feel like a total genius afterwards.

Graphics
I'm a sucker for pixel graphics, and throughout the game there are a nice variety of different backgrounds and tile sets used to give a different kind of feeling in each world that you go through. Especially love the character that you play as, although the detail on her is kinda plain it fits with the background.

Pros
+ Nice cut scenes that explains the story in a short amount of time
+ Great mechanics throughout the game that expand
+ Rewind feature that lets you reset the last turn
+ Few but challenging puzzles
+ Great little pixel graphics
+ Little touches like in world 1 if you stand still for a few seconds then a bird lands on your head and stays there till you move

Cons
- Some puzzles need you to plan at the start of the level, therefor needing a complete restart
- No rewind ability in tutorial levels for some reason
- If on a conveyor belt and use rewind, you'll rewind but die afterwards (bug)
- Occasional tedious level (5-4)

Closing Thoughts
If you're looking for fairly casual puzzle game then this is for you. Some great varied pixel graphics along with a decent variety of mechanics that'll always keep you thinking. A fine little story to keep you interested, though some tedious levels here and there, there is a decent amount of puzzles to keep you occupied for about 6 - 8 hours. Would recommenced grabbing this if you can.

Introduction
As a fan of BTD for a while now, I was expecting this game to be another step forward from BTD5 or at least sub-par to that. But what we really have here is a port from the mobile version. But looking past this, the game has the potential to be a decent BTD in the franchise.

Gameplay
Use monkeys to shoot balloons. What could possibly go wrong? As much as I really wanted to enjoy this game, there was just too much to look past to recommend this game to people. However, starting off on a positive note, there are a few mechanics and changes they've made from BTD5 that have made the game better in some aspect. For example, the upgrading and leveling system has been improved, now there are 3 skill trees each tower has, which you can only pick 2 from. This makes for a better strategy game as you can now have same towers that have completely different abilities.

One of the main mechanics that has been added is the line of sight, making it so your towers can't look through objects in order to pop the balloons (unless you have a skill). This doesn't get used early game, but when delving into the more challenging maps you'll see it used more often there to really make you plan out where to place your towers throughout that run.

There also seems to have been a ramp in difficulty compared to BTD5, probably because of the previous two points I have just made. This doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad thing, for me personally it's what the game needed, the previous game was getting kinda easy. Having to think about where to place your towers all the way through the run should be how each map is made to be. Along with that, the new game modes are also a nice challenge to those who played the BTD5 to death and want some new modes.

The main gameplay and new concepts added to this game makes it fun and enjoyable to play, as every game should be. Unfortunately, this is where we see the game for it's flaws and even for someone who has played BTD5 for years (used to play it on the official Ninja Kiwi website) I can't just overlook them because they are too bold and plain to see, so to start micro transactions. I understand that these AREN'T REQUIRED to beat the game and are just for those who want to get ahead of the game, but considering you made some of the micro transactions in BTD5 available to get in monkey money, why wasn't that done here?

Speaking of the monkey money that you acquire by completing maps, there really isn't that much to spend them on. Unlocking new heroes and abilities, that's about it. I feel like they could've done something more with this, added a similar mechanic to BTD5 where you purchase land and a house to and a benefit to a certain tower but also lose out on something from a different tower (cost slightly more to build/upgrade etc.)

UI feels like it was for a mobile in mind instead of a desktop, but I guess it was cause this is a mobile port. Makes the game look lazy and unprofessional compared to the UI difference in BTD5 mobile and Steam versions. Couldn't you of just taken some more time to make the UI feel like it was made for a desktop?

Music
There is a nice variety with the soundtracks that you'll hear if you play through each map, each of them still having the same kinda sound as the main menu theme but slightly altered to be different. Feels like they spent a decent amount of time on this, however I personally didn't like the voice acting of the Heroes. The few minutes I did listen to it, I turned it straight off.

Graphics
People in some reviews that I have read have said that they liked the new change in 3D graphics, and I can understand why as it's a fresh new take on the franchise, I personally didn't like the look of it. Something about it just doesn't sit well with me, and even though I didn't like the graphics I still put up with it enough to play a few hours of the game.

Pros
+ Improved and extensive leveling/upgrading system
+ More of a challenge to make it more strategy orientated and game modes
+ Few new mechanics added
+ Good music
+ Better graphics than mobile version
+ Appreciate they didn't increase price of game comparing to Steam version of BTD5

Cons
- Micro transactions that could've been made different for exchange for Monkey money instead like they did with BTD5
- Not much use for monkey money
- Lazy UI, has a mobile feel to it rather than a desktop in mind
- Didn't like the voice acting (luckily there's an option to turn that off)
- Graphics to me look bad, prefer the TBD5 look (personal opinion)
- Found myself wanting to go back to BTD5 after having enough of 6 for some reason
- Not as much content as BTD5

Closing Thoughts
Though BTD6 is something that I was hoping to be better or just as great as BTD5, it doesn't have that place to take. Lazy mobile port, bad UI and micro transactions are making me hold this back from my recommendation. If your a BTD fan then you'll probably buy this anyway (I did) but for any new fans go get BTD5 instead. Although a slightly worse leveling up and upgrading system there are double the amount of maps, better UI, just skins as micro transactions and more extensive game modes its the better game of the two.

Introduction
Tunche: Arena is a free side arena game that gives players just a taste of the way the game Tunche will play like and the combat system. There isn't much content here, but there's just enough to give you a taste of what Tunche will be like.

Gameplay
There are two game modes, Horde and Endless. Horde mode gives you a set amount of XP that you have to spend in one go in the skill tree, from there you'll have to fight 8 waves of enemies and then the boss in order to win. The skill tree is nice, there isn't an overwhelming amount of skills and abilities for you to pick from but enough for it to suit a few playstyles that you might inherit.

As you fight wave after wave new enemies will get introduced, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be great variety in enemy types but still enough to keep it interesting. Would like there to of been more enemy types, as in endless mode you can get quite far (I got to like wave 36) and seeing the same old enemies just with increasing damage didn't really make me want to keep playing through the endless waves.

The boss that you fight at the end of the horde mode is no joke. It's an interesting boss battle that has multiple stages, doesn't overstay it's welcome and really opens up to other boss battles that we are bound to see in the release of Tunche. It raises the bar high for other boss battles that we will see in the upcoming full game.

Controls in this game feel great, smooth, responsive and you can string together a nice amount of combos depending on what skills you want to invest in. You can really feel each attack that you lay upon the enemy as you string them into a powerful combo to finish them off! Playing on a controller is probably recommended, as it's a fighting brawl game, but I suppose the keyboard controls wouldn't be too bad.

Graphics
Hand-drawn graphics look amazing, and everything is done with a great amount of detail. Looks colourful, vibrant and just in general looks fantastic. The animations for your attacks, enemies attacks, that little bird you have are all smooth and seamless. I also love the way the main character just looks, like they just don't care what's happening around them.

Music
The soundtrack for the game is great, really gives off that atmosphere of being in a jungle area fighting frogs, monkeys and various other creators that you come across. Can't wait to hear more music in the full release of Tunche!

Pros
+ FREE!!
+ Decent skill tree to fit your playstyle
+ Interesting and challenging boss battle
+ Tight and smooth controls
+ Great little arena mode to give people a taste of the full game
+ Great 2D hand-drawn art style and animations!
+ Music is fantastic

Cons
- Not too much variety in common enemies

Closing Thoughts
Tunche: Arena is just the starter of to the main course, it gives you a taste of the way that the full game will play and the way that the combat will work. Controls and fantastic, visually the game looks amazing and overall everything in this game is great. And besides, it's FREE so why not give it a shot and try it for yourself.

Introduction
This colourful comic book style looking game known as ZAMB! Endless Extermination is a Tower defence mixed with a twin stick shooter. Unfortunately, I can't see this game being able to stand on it's own two feet, it just feels and plays too generic and too much like other games of a similar genre. But of course, let me explain my reasoning. (TL;DR Below)

Gameplay
So what can you expect from ZAMB!? Well, like other games of the similar genre you will be walking around a area defending reactors that you hack from waves of enemies in order to win. Seems simple enough, and perhaps that's where the game falls flat because that's all there is to the game, it never really expands upon this and as you can imagine it gets boring and repetitive pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the game doesn't help itself with other specific things that makes the game less interesting and just not very inviting to play. But there are still a few positives that this game kinda has going for them!

The tutorial is well presented and shows you everything you need to know quickly. Even if your not a person who plays tutorials in games, in that case don't even worry about it. The game never forces you to play the tutorial and waste your time, so if you wanna go into the game inexperienced of the controls whilst you flail around the area like a bull being played then that option is there for you.

When it comes to character selection, don't get your hopes up however, there are only two. Which initially wouldn't be a bad thing, but considering the gameplay (for me personally) is bland and boring I would've liked to have seen some different types of characters instead of just the two. Don't get me wrong though, the two characters that are in the game aren't all that bad, and if you have a friend you can play co-op which is the better way to play the game as you can both take advantage of the characters special abilities.

Speaking of which, if you're like me and you have literally no friends because you were that one awkward guy at college/school then you'll probably have a bit more of a rougher time with this game. The AI that plays as the other character isn't well programmed and acts more like cannon fodder to try to help you instead. Just pushing themselves into enemies so they take all the damage whilst you try to kill them all. It also doesn't help that the AI doesn't use any of their special abilities. So you know, might wanna start making friends now to have an easier time with this game.

Even though the AI lacks the ability to use their special abilities, there is still a nice amount of variety that you can choose from, and they all unlock very early on in the game. Chrome (guy with the gun) can place down different kinds of turrets and Cye (guy with blades on hands) has elemental abilities which gives you a nice range to choose from and coming up with some strategy of winning if you had a friend. Consequently, there are no upgrades for your main weapons so you'll feel super weak later in the game and will be forced to keep using special abilities. And to use these abilities you have to spend gems that you get from killing enemies or finding in the level, so there is a limited supply of them really.

Graphics
One of the stronger points of this game is the graphics, you have these colourful comic styled graphics throughout the game and it just looks great. There are even some comic strips at the start of every level to give a bit of insight of what's happening between each level. However, this does seem to lack a little when it comes to some of the enemies you fight against.

Music
The soundtrack to this game is good, and add a certain level of intensity when you are up against a swarm of enemies just rushing towards the reactors that you have to protect. Would've like to of had a bit more variety as I'm not sure if they all sound similar or if it is just all the same music.

Pros
+ Quick and simple tutorial, teaching you everything you need to know
+ Can play co-op on endless or story mode
+ Nice amount of special abilities, unlocking very early game
+ Comic book art style is great and about the only unique thing going for this game
+ Good music

Cons
- Basic twin stick shooter / tower defence gameplay which never expands or tries something new to be different
- Game play feels bland and generic, nothing really makes it something new or special from other games in the genre
- Only 2 characters to pick from, would've liked to of seen one or two more maybe
- Playing single player with AI will make story mode significantly harder
- Bad friendly AI who rarely use their special abilities
- No upgrades for your main weapon, forcing you to use special abilities more often than not

Closing Thoughts
From the outside, a promising game with a nice comic book art style, however look beyond that and you'll find that ZAMB! doesn't really differ from other games of it's genre. Bland, generic and gets repetitive with the lack of expanding on just the idea of defending 3 reactors from enemies spawning in the level. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try for the amount it's selling itself for, but for me personally I wouldn't bother.

Introduction
Tokyo 42, just saying the name sounds like a pretty cool name for a game. But does it really hold up to be as great as it sounds? One look at the screenshots and trailer and you might be drawn by the games pretty cool aesthetic, but no matter how good a game looks you should never judge a game by it's screenshots. So, what's so wrong with this game? (TL;DR below)

Gameplay
One of the most frustrating mechanics about this game that you have to know first is it's camera. Yes, it's a unique birds eye view of the game, which initially seems like a nice idea and differs it from other games, but the way it functions isn't great. When rotating the camera there are 4 (I think) fixed points that it rotates around the character. When fighting gets hectic and there are bullets flying all over the place, you may misjudge where a bullet is because of the camera. More often than not you'll die because of this.

However, there are a lot of weapons at your disposal as you progress through the game from rocket launchers, hand guns, machine guns, shotguns, snipers and a few more. It is a lot of fun to mess about with these weapons even when your not doing any missions. The combat is fun and action packed when there are bullets flying all over the place and your taking out a gang. But again let down with the weird camera angles.

The main missions of the game are alright, however the side missions that you can do get boring and kinda repetitive just clearing out gangs, sniping people and stuff like that. To top it all off, you will randomly get a nemesis that is disguised as the public and blends in till he tries to attack you. So if you're half way through a mission and you nemesis happens to kill you, tough luck, time to restart that mission.

Graphics
Throughout the world the graphics and aesthetic are kept consistent, very vibrant and colourful buildings. There are futuristic buildings and designs that keep exploring the world fresh. However, sometimes along with the camera, there are too many buildings around and makes it hard to navigate some places.

Music
The soundtrack to this game is great, and gives off this futuristic kinda feel to the game that compliments that buildings and towers that you find whilst exploring the world.

Pros
+ Wide variety of weapons you can purchase throughout the game
+ Challenging combat that is fun and action packed, usually different points you can take to tackle your objective
+ Very vibrant and colourful graphics with cool world design with futuristic houses, towers etc. etc.
+ Great atmospheric music

Cons
- Unique Birds Eye View camera, but is awkward to use even after playing for a while
- Sometimes hard to judge where bullets are coming from
- Random Nemesis kills you out of nowhere
- Some missions aren't too great (mainly the side missions)
- Glitches every now and then (I got stuck in position when starting a mission)

Closing Thoughts
Honestly, I really wanted to love this game, but can't recommend it as there are just too many faults with that will draw people away from what could've been a pretty cool game. If you're still considering getting this I would say to watch some gameplay on YouTube and judge for yourself if you like the look of it, but apart from that I wouldn't recommend this.

Introduction
Rift Keeper is a rogue-like that feels like it takes inspiration from Dead Cells to create it's own unique game. Unfortunately, the game does has a few issues that doesn't really pull the player in for that "Just one more run" feeling and feels lacking with it's progression system considering it's a rogue-like game.

Gameplay
If you are, like me, a rogue-like fan and that's what has drawn you to this game your going to be rather disappointed. When it comes to the rogue-like genre of gaming there is almost always some sort of progression, whether it's unlocking new weapons/items or new starting characters there's is always something to WORK TOWARDS. In this case, there isn't anything to work towards. When you die, you keep some of your gold (to purchase weapons/items for that run) and collectables (exchange 5 for a random item/weapon for that run) but lose everything you have on your character or in your inventory. There's nothing to unlock, or a special currency to collect to help your next run, there's no progression at all. So when you do lose a long run you feel like you've wasted your time completely.

For a game that seems (to me at least) to be inspired heavily by Dead Cells, it doesn't do great to give the game a twist or even replicate Dead Cells in a good way. Controls feel janky and not at all smooth which makes fighting just feel bad. Considering 90% of the game is fighting enemies (the other 10% is running around the level looking for the portal) you really want to have tight and smooth controls. Speaking of enemies, the AI really isn't great, they'll only attack you if your on the same platform as them and won't even follow you if you fall off that platform to continue fighting you. This really makes killing enemies easily exploitable with your ranged weapon.

Varied enemies are something that this game kinda has going for them. As you progress through the game you'll find different types that make the game more challenging, it was a fresh new take to see different enemies after going through like 10 levels of just the same old enemies over and over again. However, it does become apparent that each of the enemies just have 1 attack that makes them predictable and easy to avoid.

Graphics
When it comes to the graphical side of the game, it looks good. The dungeons seem to lack in variety making each one just feel the same as the previous one just with different colour lighting, but it gets the job done to be an alright looking game. For some reason there is no options for graphical settings? Not that it plays much of a big roll, especially in a game like this but still would've been nice to see.

Music
For me, the soundtrack feels bare bones and doesn't really give off the sort of atmosphere that I would've hoped for a game like this. The music sounds rather repetitive, and for the 2+ hours that I played of this game I didn't hear much in terms of variety of different soundtracks throughout. As the same with graphical options, there is no volume control for the music or sound effects of the game which would've been nice.

Pros
+ A fair amount of varied enemies as you progress
+ Graphics don't look too bad, but kinda lacks in variety

Cons
- Nothing to progress towards upon dying, which is rather important for a rogue-like game
- Feels like a modified and dumbed down version of dead cells
- Janky controls that aren't as smooth as they should be
- Bad AI that makes enemies easily exploitable
- Enemies don't have varied attacks, making them predictable
- No option for volume control or graphics
- Soundtrack sounds repetitive and lack of variety

Result / Closing Thoughts
Overall, I feel like the game really could do with a lot of polish in the fighting, progression and graphical area to make this game more appealing to others. Add some unlockable weapons/items to make starting a new run exciting rather than punishing (which is what rogue-likes are meant to be like) make the AI better, more attacks for enemies etc. etc. In it's current state I wouldn't recommend this game, felt too punishing to die and there isn't enough content to make me want to come back and play more of it.

Introduction
Audiosurf 2 is probably one of, if not THE BEST music based game whereby you use your music to play the game. The premise of the game is simple, with multiple modes and different gameplay styles which makes for pretty much unlimited content.

Gameplay
This is a fantastic way to implement your favourite music to gameplay format. Riding along the waves of the tunes that you love so much whilst trying to beat other peoples high score has kept me coming back to this game for quite some time. More times than not, when I want to listen to music I tend to play this game. The gameplay is simple and at the same time it can be played competitively to try to beat people on the online scoreboards or just casually.

There are several different game modes that are available to play, from mono classic to Ninja to wake board the list goes on and on. This just makes for a CRAZY amount of content and for the price of £10.99 you'd be crazy not to get this game if you are a fan of rhythm based games. There is pretty much just an UNLIMITED amount of content you have available here. From playing competitively trying to beat other peoples high scores on the online leader board to just playing casually, there's just so much content here.

Graphics
There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of different skins that you can get from the Steam Workshop for this game so I'm sure you'll be able to find something that you like. But there are some basic vanilla skins in the game as well which you could use if you don't find any of the others to your liking.

Music
It's the best kind of music because it's your own music :)

Pros
+ Pretty much unlimited content
+ Several different game modes and game styles to play through your favourite music!
+ Competitive play as well as casual
+ Mods for different skins and game modes for even more content!

Cons
- No longer can you get music from YouTube (but there are alternatives for that such as downloading music from YouTube, reverting back to a previous version of the game, just look into it and you will a way around it)

Results / Closing Thoughts
If you are a fan of rhythm based games then this game is a MUST BUY from me, ignore all the people saying that the game is ruined because the streaming music from YouTube has been taken out. Just find an alternative and get riding those music waves!
