Title: Speed Kills
Genre: Action, Indie, Racing
Developer: Holy Warp , Black Wing Foundation
Publisher: Holy Warp, KISS ltd
Release Date: 16 May, 2014

Basic Overview
This is a very fun racing game that defiantly can cure the boredom in your life for a hour or two if you have it. It's graphics don't really suit the futuristic theme to the game since the game is set in the future. There isn't really anything really advanced in the environment that you race in. There is quite a balance of bad and good things about this game, so let's get started with the usual categories.

Game Play
So let's start off by talking about the game play of this game. It's simply a futuristic racing game with guns on your cars. There is quite a balance of good and bad things here. First off let's talk about the some of the good points about this game. You'll be glad to know that (well for me anyways) this game has a high replay value. I'm not really sure what kept me going back to play this game, since I had a few short breaks, but I just did. It felt really satisfying to complete a race in first place and grab some money at the end to upgrade your car. It's also a very competitive game even though you are racing against bots. I would really like to see this game take thongs forward and possibly add a Online-Multiplayer mode to it for even more fun and replay value. Like I said in the overview, it seems to be really good at curing your boredom when you are playing it. I think that it's the satisfaction of shooting while you drive and winning first place in the race. Now for some bad things about this game that I don't really want to talk about but I will go through them none the less. The game play can be a bit frustrating at times, because sometimes the collisions of the cars can be very unforgiving. Starting a jump will immediately cancel out any nitro that you're using and since there are multiple jumps throughout each map this makes it difficult to take full advantage of your boost. Sometimes jumps can make you do a U turn if you don't land near enough straight, this can ultimately really mess up a race since you have to turn around and continue racing like nothing ever happened. I found that some of the upgrades where a little bit game breaking, for example if you upgrade your rig then use your boost at the start of the race then you can gain the lead straight off. You can then take very single power up that you can so that the cars behind you don't get any. However, this can also work the other way around. You could be last or near last and you can't pick up any power ups and really you're only chance of getting a power up is to restart. Another unfortunate thing about this game is that sometimes you have to grind for cash to even stand a fighting chance in the later levels. This can really drain the games replay ability and fun as no one wants to grind on a game for money to stand a chance to win. One last bad thing about this game is that there is no map to show you the track you are on. This means you have to memorize the track in order to get the full advantage of the track that you are on. The game slightly helps you, by having a arrow and a number to tell you how sharp the turn is and in which direction you are turning in. This kind of helps you but then again a map in the corner of the screen would've been a lot easier.
Score (Out Of 10): 6 - Would like to see Online-Multiplayer, add a mini map in the top left or right of the screen, fix the spawn rate of the power ups, or increase the length of the track so you have a chance to get a power up if you're behind everyone else.

Graphics/art style
The graphics for me feel okay. They don't really seem to fit in with the kind of futuristic style that this game takes on with it. Would like to see some futuristic like technology around the environment as I drive around the tracks. Maybe even some futuristic technology for your cars that make you go on the side of the wall or something. For me this game doesn't feel futuristic enough with the whole premise of it being in the distant future.
Score (Out Of 10): 7 - Would like to see some more futuristic technology in the environment and/or for the cars.

Music & Sounds
The music for this game fits in nicely with the futuristic and racing style that this game has to offer, although can get a bit repetitive. The sounds are just generic, nothing much to really talk about with this category.
Score (Out Of 10): 8 - Music can get repetitive after a while, and the sounds are just generic

Conclusion
Although this game has a few flaws that let it down, I still recommend this game to racing fans. There is some really high replay value in this game, with a nice variety of cars and upgrades that can help you though the game. Although sometimes you may find that you have to grind for money to stand a fighting chance in some of the races, although winning a race in first place is really satisfying.

Title: Days Under Custody
Genre: Adventure, Indie
Developer: Abraham Carreola
Publisher: Groupees Interactive
Release Date: 23 Nov, 2015

Overview
This game is a basic horror, pixelated graphics game. It doesn't really have any unique or special mechanics when it comes to hiding from the 'mysterious man' or any unique scares that really make this game stand out. The characters itself are okay I guess, some of them feel a bit stiff in the sense of the animations. Not really much else to talk about in the Overview.

Game Play
So let's start off with some good things that I found while playing this game. Firstly, I like the story very much. It is basically a game in the perspective of a guy called Duc who you play as, you wake up and find out that his neighbours where killed by a psycho. Throughout the game you find random notes in places of the house, while trying to avoid the psycho that killed your neighbours. I would suggest for the best possible experience of the game is to use headphones throughout your gaming experience of the game. Even though the story isn't very well presented I still like the whole concept of the story line that the game tells. To me it's really intriguing the way that the story played out throughout the game, but sometimes is slowed paced because of the game play. You may sometimes find yourself wandering around the house unsure of what to do. This really slows the pace of the game, also the hints that are displayed in the bottom left of the screen are somewhat annoying. They are either really obscure or really obvious. It's from one extreme to the other, not really well designed. The point and click on cupboards is nicely done, but there's no point of telling me and the using that if there's nothing to find in the cupboards where the game just explained that small mechanic... The grammar and wording of this game isn't 100% accurate for English speakers. A example of this is: That came from outside, I can't remember where is house key, I must found front key and close the door. Not really that much of a complaint but still something to work on. Some of the puzzles are nice, again nothing new or unique about them. Just the same as every other horror game, there are always going to be puzzles for you to complete to progress through the story of the game. Another thing is that the game is fairly short.
Score (Out Of 10): 5 - Story isn't very well presented, kinda slow paced, hints are either too obscure or too obvious and the English isn't 100% accurate.

Graphics/Art Style
The graphics are simple and well polished for a pixelated game. I feel like some of the characters needed to be worked on some more, for example the blond lady that appears every now and then looks kinda weird with her arms. Would be nice if you could fix that a bit. I also feel like the animations are sometimes a bit lazy, making a simple animation of getting out of bed at the start of the game would've been good. But no you get teleported there, to me that's just kinda lazy the way that they did that. It makes it seem that this game was kind of rushed when it came to releasing the game fully. Another thing that bugs me is that the game sometimes doesn't shut me down properly, meaning that you have to force shutdown the game through Task Manager. This is yet more proof to me that this game seemed to be rushed when it came to the release time for the game.
Score (Out Of 10): 7 - Some characters don't look right, lazy animations at times and the game sometimes doesn't close properly meaning you have to close it through Task Manager every time.

Music & Sounds
Not much to say about the music and sounds of the game, the music really sets the atmosphere of the game and doesn't get irritating or annoying as you play through the game. The sounds are just average, what you might expect from any pixelted horror game.
Score (Out Of 10): 7 - Decent music and some general sounds from the horror genre.

Conclusion
I would recommend this game to people who like exploring in a horror game. It has alright pixel graphics, the music really sets the atmosphere of the game. It's not really scary but that's to be expected from a pixelated horror game. Sometimes feels tense but most of the time it just feels like a casual game.

Title: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Genre: Action
Developer: Nicalis, Inc. , Edmund McMillen
Publisher: Nicalis, Inc.
Release Date: 4 Nov, 2014

Basic Overview
This is probably one of the best Rogue-lite games that I have ever played on Steam. It has so much variation and randomness, but not too much that it gets annoying and that you rage and uninstall the game. It has varies amounts of items, special abilities, cards and enemies which makes it have high Replay value. Along with the randomly generated dungeons this game is truly is the best Rogue-lite game I have ever played.

Game Play
This game has so much to talk about so get ready for a fairly long review. This game has such variety that it's hard to talk about every single detail about this game, so I will break down the Game Play header into other sub categories.

Basic Game Play
This game has a simple way to play. You move with WSAD and you can shoot with the arrow keys. This is such a good choice on controls as you can move in one direction and shoot in another. The way that the controls work and respond quickly is really needed when playing a game as difficult as this. The story is pretty basic, but fits really well with the game play and has purpose and reason why you are doing what you are doing. Your mum has a message from god that she must prove herself to him and kill you, Isaac. You over hear this and you run to the corner and quickly slip down into the basement to avoid death. Now you must fight through each floor, avoiding loads of enemies, collecting useful (or maybe not useful) items to help you along the way. This is very fitting for the story and I like it a lot. There is also a huge amount of replay ability because of the randomly generated dungeons that you run through. This means that there are almost an infinite amount of runs that will all be different and will play out differently. This really does pull the played in and want to play 'one' more run. Then it turns into a few more runs until you kill mum. Really grabbing, and really good at wanting you to play more of the game. Something else that the game offers are challenges, and some of these are really hard to complete. I would recommend getting used to the basic game before getting into any of these challenges as some of these are just too difficult to complete.

Enemies, Bosses & Items
As I mentioned in the Overview of this review there is a really huge amount of variety of this game. When it comes to enemies, bosses and items then this game really has dedicated it's time and effort to these 3 things. There are several different types of areas that you could be in. Along with themed enemies, and some enemies that I really have no clue what they are, it really sets the tense atmosphere when you are getting near the end of the run. When you are on that last half a heart of life and you are really far in the run you feel really tense. Some of the items that you can collect will do a various amount of things, such as increase your defence, increase your life, gives you a friend, gives you eternal life ect the list just goes on and on for what your character can collect. There are also some chances that you have to take, such as pills that you find. These pills will have a random effect, whether it will increase your attack, decrease your speed, give you bombs again there is a massive amount of things that these pills will do. It just adds more risk:reward. If you are prepared to take the risk of possibly decreasing your attack but might increase your speed then go ahead. I normally just leave these as they only give you a small amount of either good or bad things that only really make the game a little bit different. Then there are things such as cards which you can use and are a bit like pills, but you can see the picture of the card and the name. So if you can memorize what the cards do then you can use them to your advantage. Lastly I will talk about the great variety of bosses that are in this game. At the end of every dungeon you will have to defeat a boos to proceed. This is also a randomly selected boss which makes the game even better and just adds to the high replay value! This game is just so good!
Score (Out Of 10): 10 - High replay value, brilliant variation and randomly generated dungeons, this is what you want in a Rogue-lite

Graphics/Art Style
The art style for this game is really nicely down, and really fits well with the atmosphere and the game play in general. I especially like the simplicity of the opening cut scene of the game, the graphics are just simply black and white as the cut scene plays. The main art style of the game is really colourful. I really like the art style because it's not too cartoony that it looks childish, and it's not too serious to make it look patronising. Its just right, and really fits with game play.
Score (Out Of 10): 10 - really simplistic and fitting graphics, really suits the game well.

Music
The music for this game is really good, I really like the soft music when you are just normally roaming around the dungeons, and then the drastic change once you enter a boss room. It really makes the battles more intense and on each dungeons floor. Once you kill the boss there is a certain feeling that you feel really accomplished about yourself, but you know that there is still more to go.
Score (Out Of 10): 10 - really nice use of music to make the boss battles more intense

Conclusion
I would recommend this game to anyone who likes Rogue-lite, difficult games with very high replay value. There are so many different runs that can happen that you never really get bored of the game. You just want to come back wanting to play another game, and then maybe do a challenge, and then another normal run. It's a endless cycle of fun. Highly recommended to all Rogue-lite and difficult fans

Title: Castle
Genre: Action, Casual, Indie
Developer: Snails Animation
Publisher: Snails Animation
Release Date: 7 Jan, 2015

Basic Overview
Castle is a simple unique puzzle game that has a steep learning curve, low replay ability and some interesting mechanics that really bring the game to it's name. I enjoyed this game for a certain amount of time, then it just got boring because of the difficulty. I am however recommending this game because even though it has low replay value and does get boring at times, there was a nice session of when it was fun to play. I do suggest playing in short sessions though as you might get bored of this game if you keep failing.

Game Play
This game is very unique in the sense of the puzzle side of things. You have to create a castle with the tiles of the castle at the top of the screen as the scroll from right to left. All you have to do is drag them into the correct places and make the castle. Simple enough right? That's what I thought. The games concept is great, don't get me wrong. I haven't seen other puzzle games that are like this. There are a few problems with this though. First off, it's easy to misjudge what piece of the castle goes where. There where many times in the game where I would put a piece on the wrong slot just because I wasn't sure if it fitted there or not. This is not a puzzle factor of the game, it's simple misjudgement. If you combine that with the enemies you have to take care of, the time limit and the lives that you have then you are always on edge of this game. There are so many things to take into consideration that makes this game so difficult. This then makes you play a single level over and over again for like half an hour and that isn't fun. That also ties in with the repetitive nature of the game as each level is basically a harder version of the previous level. They add more enemies, and bonuses you have to buy every now and then. Despite all the bad things that have said there are some fun elements to the game that I want to talk about. They do produce a small and pretty basic graph of how many of each enemy will be on that level. This means that you can plan in advanced and buy the things that can stop them from you building, each enemy has a different type of item that you can use to get rid of them. A fireball for a bird, anvil for a knights, dynamite for a mole ect. Along with the variety of enemies there are also 3 different variations of castles to build, plain, desert and ice which kinda separates the art style.
Score (Out Of 10): 7 - Would like to see more variations of the castles and less of a difficulty curve.

Graphics/Art Style
The Art Style to this game isn't all that good or bad. It has nice, crisp and clean graphics for a cartoon like game. I personally don't really like the way this game looks, the Art Style looks too childish for me to really like it. I like some cartoon art styles but this just seems to go a bit overboard for me. I will score it fairly as I know some people do like this kind of Art Style
Score (Out Of 10): 7 - I can see why people would like the graphics, but for me personally I don't like them. They look too childish

Music & Sounds
The music to this game is great. Although it would be better if they could add some more variation to each different type of castle, as depending on the type of castle it is will change the music accordingly to that certain castle type. This means that there are only 3 different soundtracks that play throughout the entire game. Again gets very repetitive if your playing in a longer session. As for the sounds they are okay, the sound of a anvil hitting a knight on the head is pretty satisfying to say the least, and others like when you hit a fireball on the bird.
Score (Out Of 10): 8 - Would like to see more variation for soundtracks.

Conclusion
I would recommend this game to people who like puzzle games, I suggest playing in short periods to avoid not really having as much fun as you did the first time you played it. Also the soundtracks get repetitive so there is another reason why playing in shorter sessions could benefit your gaming experience better than mine.

Title: Alum
Genre: Adventure, Indie, RPG
Developer: Crashable Studios
Publisher: N/A
Release Date: 15 May, 2015

Basic Overview
This is a gem of a game. A basic Point & Click Adventure game that has a amazing story that keeps you wanting to continue through the entire game in one sitting if you have the time to. There aren't that many flaws in this game that I came across but there are still a few things that I would suggestion changing slightly.

Game Play
This game is amazing. I'm not normally for one with point and click games but this one is a exception, it has a very intriguing story (Don't worry no spoilers here) that gets you hooked in and wanting play through the entire game (I didn't because I suck at puzzle type games). Obviously, with each Point & Click come with puzzles. Let me start off by saying that the tutorial actually blends in with the story and game play, which is really good because you normally have to go through a few text boxes before you can even start playing. This game tells you how to do things then you use it at that moment. Really good idea. I found the first chapter puzzles to be pretty self-explanatory then it started to get a bit over my head and got a bit more complex. Some of the puzzles are a bit to obscure to really know that, that was what you where suppose to do. Unless you hovered your mouse of it you wouldn't of found out how to do it. There was a few occasions this happened to me while playing this game, maybe that's just because I am bad at puzzles games. There is a hint one the options page that will help you if you understand what that means. If not then you will be walking around, hovering your mouse over every area of each place. None the less this is still a amazing game, it has some witty jokes inside and doesn't go over board when it uses them. Each chapter of the game sets a atmosphere, or a question that you don't know the answer to. That really hooked me into each chapter that I played, this combine with some really intense moments in the game really sets it up to be a brilliant atmospheric game! The small cut scenes in this game look really good, you get the feel that you really are this person and you want to help them. Again, setting a terrific atmosphere which just made me want to play it more. The pacing in this game is very well done, it starts off slow with a few questions to the game, then by the end of chapter 1 (Took me about 30 minutes) it's then faced paced! A nice little element of the game that they added that I don't see often in other Point & Click games is the ability to show where all the exits are. This really does help you because sometimes you are unsure where they are, they aren't always obvious. The writing of the story and the voices of all the characters is very nice, the story is structured really well and the words they use just grab you into the game. I found that it's structured very well right at the beginning of the game.
Score (Out of 10): 9 - Although I would really want to give it a perfect 10, some of the puzzles are too obscure to figure out unless you have played the game before, I know it's suppose to be a puzzle game but some of the solutions to the puzzles went way over my head.

Graphics/Art Style
You can see the type of graphics that are on the game through the trailer, it has nice pixel graphics that fit the game really well. Everything looks really nice and polished for pixel graphics. I feel like this game works really well with these graphics, and the whole atmosphere you keep with you through the entire game.
Score (Out of 10): 10 - Very well polished pixel graphics that work well with the game

Music & Sounds
In my opinion the music and sounds make the whole game how atmospheric it really is. There is very soft background music at times and every sound that you would expect to hear you would hear it, the songs that are played really suit the situations that you are in as well. It really makes you feel like you are in the game, and then when it gets to the emotional parts the music and sounds set in just right to get the most of out the game. Although I would like to hear a little more variation for the background music but that's just a little thing.
Score (Out Of 10): 9 - Maybe some more variation in background music.

Conclusion
This is what a Point & Click game should be. Very atmospheric, with all the music and the sounds, nicely crafted puzzles that (in my opinion) get a bit too hard as you went along the game and the graphics set the game up to be really good, and well fitting with the music.

Title: Advent
Genre: RPG
Developer: Omega Games
Publisher: Omega Games

Basic Overview
This is a RPG Maker game that has had some time and thought been put into it. It has some unique elements about it that makes it stand out form other RPG maker games. Although it seems that they used the default tile sets, they still made very good work of this game for a RPG maker game.

Game Play
This game as I said above is a very unique kind of RPG maker game. It has some features that normally other RPG maker games never really bother to use and use the default things. This game actually looks like it has been though through and put a fair bit of time into making the game. The story itself is interesting, you switch between 3 characters and eventually they all get together and start a adventure together. It does seem that the story is too fast paced, as it was kind of hard for me to follow what was actually going on in the story. The encountering of enemies is also another element of this game that is unique. You won't be encountering enemies randomly as you walk in a cave or forest, the enemies are roaming around the area and when they see you they go to you and once they are next to you then the battle starts. This concept of encountering enemies makes it less frustrating than random encounters because now you have a chance of actually avoiding the enemies. Now onto the battling system. It is a first-person battling system with other very unique elements implemented. First off while in battle you can change equipment, so say you forgot to equip a weapon you got you can equip it while in battle, other concepts such as information on the enemy when battling them can be very useful to see what their weakness is and to use this to your advantage. But the flaws of this is that sometimes you are just constantly spamming the attack button either 1.) your health is too low or 2.) you defeat the enemies. Also some early enemies are a little too overpowered, such as the Forest Fairy which can heal herself and attack you for a decent amount of damage. Lastly, I will talk about the controls. Now if you are familiar with RPG maker controls then you will be able to start this game right away, but if you're new you might be unsure what the controls are. Might need to add just a basic tutorial for the controls at the start of the game for people who don't know what the controls are.
Score (out of 10): 8 - Would like to see a better balance of enemies that make it so neither is overpowered and that it's not too easy, the story is too fast paced to keep up with, and need a basic controls tutorial at the start of the game.

Music & Sounds
The music is fitting with what is happening at the time, I can tell that some of the music is from the default music form RPG maker but others are custom made which makes it a little bit better than them lazy RPG Maker games. The sounds are just the generic sounds of opening doors ect so nothing really much to comment about there.
Score (out of 10): 7 - Maybe put some time into making custom sounds for walking on grass and background music

Graphics/Art Style
Finally I will be talking about the art style of the game. As far as I can tell it's using almost all the default tile sets you get with RPG Maker. This is kinda lazy, but I mean making tile sets isn't very easy so I will give the developers some slack for that. Some of the transactions when you walk say to the right of the cave you end up going up. That doesn't really make any sense... but I guess it's just the way that the map was created.
Score (out of 10): 7 - Maybe a different and more suiting tile set for the game, and sort out the transactions.

Conclusion
To sum it all off, I would recommend this game to people who enjoy playing RPG Maker games, but those of you who are new to this RPG Maker games then I wouldn't recommend this to be your first one to play. Slow down the pacing of the story and change some of the music to custom would be create.

Title: Dungeons of Dredmor
Genre: Casual, Indie, RPG
Developer: Gaslamp Games, Inc.
Publisher: Gaslamp Games, Inc.
Release Date: 13 Jul, 2011

Basic Overview
Dungeons of Dredmor is a very intresting and very different from other Rogue-like RPGs I have played in the past. This game has randomly generated levels, along with loads of skills that you can mix and match to your liking. This adds very high replay value to the game, which is what you would expect from a (optional) perma-death game. It's sometimes frustrating to be killed by an enemy when you've spent to long on a play through, but that's to be expected from a perma-death run of this game.

Game play
This game has a lot of variation, whether it's randomly generated floors or a huge amount of skills to choose from. Each run is very different from the last. I found myself dying a lot when I first started playing it, but the I kept coming back for just 'one more run.' Then that one more run turned into two or maybe three. The game really pulls you in, it has a great atmosphere when playing it on Perma-death. You never know what's going to happen which makes you more alert for what can happen, maybe you will find a monster zoo and then you have to be careful. There is a wide variety of different enemies for each floor, and each floor has a different theme to it with specific enemies that you will encounter along the way. As for the weapons and classes there is a nice variety for them as well which gives you a better attack damage for a specific weapon type and will depend with what happen you start off with. But what makes this game even more unique is that you can substitute a weapon class for another skill that may or may not be better. You can make the game even more difficult on yourself if the hardest difficulty is too easy for you by having skills that aren't very helpful to you. There are so many traps, and levers that you have no idea what it will activate. Maybe it will open a door, or maybe it'll teleport you to somewhere else. That's the beauty of this game. The attack system is turn-based, so you move once then the enemies move. It can be a simple point and click or you can use WSAD for moving your character, then attacking is just simple being close to the enemy (if you use a melee weapon) and clicking on them to take it in turns to attack.
Score (Out of 10): 10 - Very high replay value and variation!

Sound & Music
The music for this game is perfectly fitting for the atmosphere and the game play for this game. Although it can get a little bit repetitive it's still nice to listen to when you are fighting a bunch of enemies at once. The sounds of each thing that you use, such as swinging your sword or axe is all very unique. It is quite obvious that the developers put a lot of time and effort into creating the sounds for each things. I would like to see some more music in this game that matches the atmosphere of the game.
Score (Out of 10): 9 - Would like to see some more music that fits the atmosphere

Graphics/Art Style
For me the art style of this game is just perfect. It really fits in with the with the whole atmosphere and dungeons kind of feel. It's not a too series style of art, but then again it doesn't look innocent. It just fits perfectly with the whole gaming experience. Some people might not like it because of the cartoon kind of style to it, but I am just saying it from what I think.
Score (Out of 10): 10 - My own personal opinion, you might not like the art style

Conclusion
So there is my whole review for this game, it's a very unique type of rogue-lite RPG game. It has very high repay value which always makes you come back to the game. It has great atmospheric music, I would only want to see a few more soundtracks on this game, and the art style, well take it or leave it. You'll either love it or you'll hate it.

I was given a code to do a honest review on and to help the developer out on this game

Date in which I did this review: 11/02/16 (dd/mm/yy just incase you dont wrtie it in the same way we brits do haha)

Dungeons are random is a rogue-like RPG, with (obviously) randomly generated dungeons. I will go through the game in as much detail for the sake of you the buyer and the developer so that in the future he can hopefully make updates to take this game and make the overal reviews to positive, and the buyer can see if they buy this now or wait till later. Let's begin.

When you enter for the first time you might need to familaiaize yourself with the controls and stuff. All pretty self-explanatory, although a controller would probably be heavily recommended as the keyboard controls feel a little uncomfortable sometimes. Anyways controls aside let's talk about the gameplay, the gameplay itself isn't exactly the best. When weilding a handed weapon it takes way too long for the weapon to make contact with the enemie to kill it. The attack should be almost instant, with a small animation for the attack. The bow and arrow is the only real weapon that you will be able to use in order to survive this game for the time being. As for the enemies there is small variation in them and they are just basically follow you or go off in a random direction until they see you and then they follow you. It seems that sometimes you do get stuck, as in the enemies just keep hitting you if your stuck in the corner and you're just instantly dead because of this. Maybe add a small damage boost so that you can get out of these situations. In the way that the randomly generated dungeons are isn't very varied that much for the diffrent types of rooms.

You the buyer can decide from this if you want to buy it or not, but for the time being I wouldn't recommened buying it until some of these features have been finished.

That's all I have to say about this game for now. Please developer look at these reviews and do once massive update for your game so that we can improve it and hopefully pull the reviews up out of negative :)

That's all for now! Will do a new review or adapt the review when there is a new update for this game. (depending if the next update is a big update or small fixes)
