quickie review:

I'm really enjoying this game.

A couple things:
1) This game is a lot slower and more methodical then your standard FPS
2) your mech can take a lot more punishment then your standard space marine/ww II soldier. Its OK to take some hits.
3) there is a rather steep learning curve with this game. You will be killed. Don't get discouraged. You'll get better with practice. Your first kills and wins will be SUPER satifying.
4) This game is very playable without spending any real money. The tutorial and your first 25 matches give you extra in-game currency (C-bills) which can be used to buy a mech or two.
5) join a faction and dip your toe into Community Warfare (youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJYWTl3mHuk)
getting to level 2 in a faction nets you a free mech bay.
6) Mechs that can only be purchased with real money will either be: A) not as good as mechs that can be purchased with in-game2 earnable currency, or B) will eventually be available for purchase with C-bills.
7) This game has two currencies: C-bills and MC. You earn C-bills by playing. MC is purchased with real money. The vast majority of the content can be purchased with C-bills.

If that doesn't scare you, or if it sound interesting, give it a try.

A quick review:

I'm enjoying this so far.

The controll with a game pad (X360 pad) is pretty good. Nice assortment of powerups. The explosions are big and bombastic. Most importantly the game is pretty fun.

Leaderboards aren't working yet, but I'm told that should be fixed in a upcoming update in the near future.

Even without it, its a fun game and well worth your ten dollars especially considering its cheaper then a number of worse shoot-em-ups that are more expensive).
