The developer did a good job of translating the Pathfinder 2nd Edition rules for this game. The UI works well, and the adventure seems a fun excursion. I played through the first quarter of the game, and intend to keep going. I'm also looking forward to the DLC content that will effectively double the size of the game.

I see the beginnings of a good RPG coming of age story,

The graphics and music are serviceable to the cost of the game. It's not Baldur's Gate III...but it doesn't need to be.
It looks nice for what it is. There is a decent amount of voice acting. The story seems more linear, but again, that's fine.

For a smaller adventure (and looks to get a bit bigger in the future hopefully) Dawnsbury Days is worth your time and your coin.

I happily recommend this game.

It was fine, except it was buggy for me. The movie files wouldn't play, and an item never made it into my inventory so I was unable to finish the game.

Still playing, but I'll do a quick review.

This is a sequel to last year's Ancient Frontier tactical RPG.
So what you're looking at is a hard sci-fi setting with plenty of space battles.
There's been a great deal of refinement and improvement over last year's game.

I'm enjoying it so far. You don't need to have played the previous game to have fun with this one (though it certainly isn't a waste of your time to play the previous one). If you're a fan of Tactical RPGs and Sci-fi stratagy games, I think you'll enjoy this. I highly recommend it.

So. I finally finished this game. (Defeated the final fight). So I'll say a quick piece here.

I was in on the kickstarter for this game.

I really enjoyed this game.

Some comments:
There's a lot to do in this game, my 194 hours is a single play though.
Load times, while long, are much improved from release.
There have been many bug fixes since release. I didn't run into any problems in the late acts. I'd say at this point, the game is immenently playable and finishable.
I will say that the the devs need to do another enemy balance pass. There are still some encounters that really spike the difficulty up higher then it should be given the various difficulty settings.
Best implementation of the Pathfinder rules you're going to find in the digital space at this point in time.
Game has pretty good writing for this type of game. Western CRPGs aren't know for their writing, but this is pretty good. I actually ended up liking my NPCs a lot after finishing thierr stories and getting to know them.
The game soundtrack is phenominally good.
Props to Owlcat Games for keep thier noses to grindstone and fixing the game up.

Gave this game a go. It's a simple/straight forward sci-fi tectical combat game with mechs.

It's by no means perfect (in game tutorial is adequate but not exceptional/AI is a little weird), but it's fun enough and worth the money.

Has nice, synthy sci-fi music soundtrack. SFX get the job done and are not annoying.

I'll continue to play it, and I recommend it for fans of this genre of game play.

Initial thoughts after a couple hours:

Ancient Frontier is a strategy/tactical turn based sci-fi game with some RPG elements (ability to improve your ships over time). I'm told that the two available campaigns are each past the 30 hour range so that's something to look forward to.

I've really enjoyed my time with it so far...I'd compare it favorably to recent releases in the genre (such as XCom).

The sound design and music well compliment the game play, and are excellent (espescially for an indie release where such things can be tossed to the wayside in favor of getting the game to work...a concern with indie developers).

This game is, production wise, the complete package.

it also helps that the game is pretty fun.

I will definately continue playing and I enthusiastically recommend it.

You know...this is an odd little game. You burn things in your "fireplace" and depending on what you burn you can chain those items and make them make a really big fire/explosion. This gives you money to buy more, different types of items which you can chain together new types of combos.

Underneath, the rather relaxing experience has a subtle story behind the scenes that has an interesting, thoughtful message to think about.

A short, but oddly compelling experience.

Quick little review:

I enjoyed this goofy little VN.

I wasted too much time so I need to play through again, which is OK.

The encounter mechanism reminded me a little bit of Secret of Monkey Island.

I enjoyed it enough that I took a break from Rocket League which has been consuming my life to play through this a couple times.

Full disclosure: recieved a Steam key in a drawing from the developer.

I would give them money for this, though. (So i'll buy a copy for a friend.)

Really, its enjoyabkle.

I played a bunch of this on Playstation 4 (it was offered to PS Plus members). I enjoyed the game enough to buy it on Steam and give the developers more money for any awesomely fun game.

Its definately an "Easy to learn but difficult to master" sort of game. really scratches the ich for a multiplayer psued-sport sort of game.

Its fun. I highly recommend it.

Quickie review:

Really enjoyed this.

Nice presentation. Good control.

I do wish it was easier to watch the story while playing, but its a shoot-em up, story is secondary.

Worth it.
