This is what I wanted civ6 to be:

- graphics are gorgeous
- gameplay changes are simply amazing (developping cities feel natural and is actually fun, its no longer a pain to manage many cities)
- balance is as far as i can tell perfect
- ambiance is spot on
- 100% addictive and hard to let go

There are a few minor bugs & some QoL things from previous games that are missing, and while its necessary to bring up the topic it really doesn't deserve the negative reviews.

Having so much fun, can't wait to play some more of it.

Early Access Review
Maybe it isn't intended to be played solo but it was just very frustrating and plain boring :/

On top of that everything felt clunky AF, from the combat gameplay down to the messy UI and english translation...

Early Access Review
Played only the first scenario without enemies to discover the raw city building aspect so far and that was quite fun.

Impressive quality level for an early access release, saw a few graphical glitches with the road decals but it looks gorgeous nonetheless.

Gameplay felt closer to Pharaoh and other Sierra titles than other recent games of the genre but in a modernised fashion, as a long term fan this is perfect. UX feels fleshed out like in Frost Punk, but it doesn't have the near puzzle game aspect of it which I dearly appreciate.

It has its caveats of course but nothing unmanageable as the developpers seem to have the right idea for their game.

For example resource distribution/transportation isn't greatly explained. Apparently the game hides information on purpose so you might try to build like you would in other games and it might not work well without being able to really know why.

Definitely looking forward to seeing all the missing features added in the future !

L'Aspirateur à Temps Libre Par Excellence !

How did this game get 22 DLCs over the course of the years its been out, and not a single update made it work on 4k monitors ?

Steamforum has a pinned thread from the developper promoting mods, which are all flagged as deprecated.

Mods. To fix THEIR UI scaling.

How is any of this for real ?

Surprinsingly fun game, discovered randomly by my son and we've been having fun playing it since.

At first the gameplay looked bland to me, seemed like it didn't involve any skill or tactics and turns out it is not the case.

You can of course pick cards randomly to put in your deck and just invoke it without thinking - but the game really gets fun when you hand pick cards with synergies and think of various tactics and responses to different situations etc. There is plenty raw material to work with.

Not sure if/when fun will fade away but for a free game you can't go wrong imo.

Reminds me of the books i played as a kid !

Super well written and has a variety of options to customize the reading experience with fonts, size etc.

Can't wait to continue the story.

enjoyed the demo a while back and gladly jumped on the release when i saw it finally came out !

graphics are neat, sounds are just ok but gameplay is fun and is actually challenging.

took me a few run to get back on my feet and make significant progress, then finally got taught to never ever feel safe and powerful -even with a big ass canon- otherwise you end up getting your butt kicked :P

Got the game gifted with a new laptop. Tried out of curiosity without having heard of it before to see what the computer could do and been playing it since...

There are some bugs yes. Some painful ones, even. I'm still having fun like with no game recently !!!

Outriders fulfils my craving for dynamic varied gameplay with character progression and crafting.

Choosing, tweaking and tinkering with gear to try various bonus combinations is very cool once you begin to figure things out (you can copy what others posted online if that's more your thing obviously).

Graphics are cool -you need modern hardware to fully enjoy it admitedly- forget running it on dated potatoware (sorry fellas i know its not possible sometimes, when you cant you cant).

Got over a 100h currently, and will very much likely double or tripple that depending how much fun i have with the remaining 2 classes i want to try.

Ignore phony negative comments that played tens if not hundreds of hours if it sounds like your cup of tea. Just dont buy it as your next 2000 hour of gaming this isn't a wow subscription, buy it as Outriders, a very fun story driven action packed game that you can easily get 60+ very good hours out of.

Took its time -gladly i had the patience, and I still need some more- but Guild 3 is finally getting somewhere !

I'm starting to get some vibes from the 1st one which I love, looking forward future updates.

Good job to the people behind this, keep it flowing !
