事件 - 沃陶姆母星

「沃陶姆母星破碎的殘骸顯示了它在1200萬年前遭受了滅絕性的打擊，起因是某種反物質儀器的引爆。從行星表面殘留的碎片中，我們了解到沃陶姆帝國曾在消滅 前經歷過巨大的思想轉變。

他們新的哲學認為整個宇宙都不過是一個更高級的存在存在享樂的虛擬現實係統，所有智慧生物都被接受這個系統而毫不知情。過多沃陶姆人採用越發極端的嘗試伴隨” 對準連接”，其中很多人都選擇了自殺。

最終他們總結出，只有數十億個體同時中斷連接，才破壞整個系統的穩定，使他們重獲自由。於是在一個約定的時間，宇宙各處所有的沃陶姆人開始用任何可能的手段中斷連接。而那些拒絕參加大規模自殺的人實在太少，無法繼續正常的繁衍，沃陶姆文明因此逐漸消散，最終灰飛煙滅。」
