Colin's gone away
And left this haiku to stay
Something left to say?
II
He does, and so while writing,
With the meter he wanted no fighting,
He decided on more of a limerick --
But couldn't handle the gimmick.
III
His needs belonged in blank verse, a villanelle
But Colin had drowned east of the cesura, swallowing but still eaten by thought.
Like an impending gray wave; he spun in the gyres.

To say what he wanted to say, and now.
But the villanelle wouldn't be complete
Without one last circumlocution -- so,
Like an impending gray wave; he spun in the gyres.
V

don't doubt their origin ------ they're thoughtfully Dickensonian
That --- and this --- is his impetus --
Colin has poked you
----- Poke Back? ------
Q: if a kamaal crashes out in the middle of Arizona, does it make a sound?
A: No..? He's deafened and muted.
------ Boke Back? ------
