SaiyanSC sent me!

I enjoyed the game, I played long enough to get through two macro building challenges. Both of which were fairly tight! Worker micromanagement early is extremely important and manual building yields faster exponential growth. I liked that. The build tree is easy enough to understand, but there are a LOT of resources. Seriously, 7 I think.

Some of the tutorials were definitely challenging which is awesome and I'm sure PvP is difficult as well. Overall I liked it and I think it has potential but some of the win conditions and macro mechanics are not super well explained. For example on the "Harvest" mission losing any cores means you auto-lose. There were a few hiccups like that.

I would also suggest allowing drag select even when starting on mineral patches. That's pretty annoying. Cntrl-click select also seemed pretty wonky and I think cores/resource structures should allow a rally to mining. Since you're already incentivized to manually build, having to direct them to mine is a bit much.

Overall this looks like a very high skill cap game with interesting mechanics. I enjoyed it and would recommend for RTS/Starcraft fans.

Fun storyline, good exploration, lovely setting, and nice crafting--a little tedious but not unenjoyable at all. Great game. More bugs than the first one but nothing that affected gameplay greatly.

Fantastic PvP with excellent civil-war era gunplay. Each shot counts--there's not much spray and pray and even when there is it comes with a cost.

Stealth is paramount and whoever lands a shot first usually wins. Sneak your way through a PvE battleground which aims to make you as loud as possible. Be the hunter or the prey depending on how skilled your teamwork is.

Teams of 3 recommended--I honestly wish the game allowed teams of 4.

The PvP is maddeningly difficult but fair. Quick action into and out of games. Will get your heart pumping.

My wrists are super sore and my fingers hurt because I've been mashing the keys so hard for three hours. This is WAY more difficult than Portal, and takes things a step beyond. Split-second timing is the difference between success and failure, and you'll have to use superhuman reflexes to beat the best times and top the leaderboards.

The gravity mechanics are fantastic and force you to plan your routes in advance. Tethering balls and double-jumps help you navigate this first-person puzzler and it gets EXTREMELY difficult as the game progresses. This is not for the casual gamer, it's for challenging yourself.

I liked the premise of this game, although I think the game would be drastically improved with procedural generation. When things are all the same it's fairly easy to survive once you figure out where you are.

Also, the wolves and interaction with other animals is pointless and contrived. Wolves are incredibly difficult to kill, cannot be attacked with any weapon other than a rifle or your bare hands, and are basically game enders that you have to run away from. Some areas have so much food you can just stay forever, while others have to be rushed through to stay alive at all.

I look forward to this game being updated and I like the premise and atmosphere.

I thought this game was artsy but had an extremely confusing and non-progressive story. I realize that many users disagree with this assessment. I had difficulty with the controls and did not find them intuitive. It took me a long time to get a handle on it and once I did I felt it was more about reaction time, luck, and exploitation of the AI than it was a puzzle solver.

Further, the levels and traps had very little variety and was just basically 18-20 levels of the same thing with just more, more, more.

I also had an extremely hard time getting the controls to work at all and the Xbox 360 controller was basically unsupported, despite a claim that it was.

Don't Starve is a fantastic game. Really, it should have been GOTY. The theme, artwork, music, and characters are all superb. The story is what you make of it but the atmosphere is what truly shines.

The gameplay is incredibly intuitive and expansive. It has a both a low and high learning curve, and the replayability is solid. Further, the content is constantly updated and the Reign of Giants DLC is excellent and basically an entirely new game. It's very hard to keep up with such a fast pace of change with a game, and it's a breath of fresh air.

What a fantastic game, 10/10 would buy and play again!

I'm not a LOTR fan but this game was really quite good. It progressively got a little too easy for me but I enjoyed the character and story, plus the very dynamic and open atmosphere to the world. The nemesis system was awesome and I'm sure will be abused in other games.

Great play, would recommend.

If you haven't bought this game yet, I don't know why. This is by far the best grind-it-out FPS ever made, and the second one looks ripe to replace it on the throne.

Great game, I have hundreds of hours into it. Good stuff!
