Download the older version of VJ Base 2.3.3 at
https://github .com/DrVrej/VJ-Base/tree/a34825c7de7a3b6ca3e2f6effebf2ccbcfaf17b7
(remove the spaces in link for the link to work)
and install it in the ...Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons folder
Please note that this version is incompatible with the all official VJ addons and some unofficial ones, but it will work on PanzerElite and Obersoldaten's addons before they are updated.
Remember to unsubscribe the new version of VJ Base 2.4.0 and the official and unofficial VJ addons before installing the VJ Base 2.3.3
Make sure you remove the older version of VJ Base from addons folder before using other VJ addons.

==Some Information about the German Forces in WW2 you might not know==

The German Army in WW2 was often thought as a technologically advanced military force and relied on expensive weapons that can only be produced in limited quantities. However, the German military actually use far more cheaper but still effective weapons. For example, more than 10000 Stug III were produced in WW2, while only 1500~ Tiger tanks were made. Hitler himself, despite not being afraid to use wonder weapons as propaganda, actually put more emphasis in more conventional weapons like assault guns. When the Stug III production facilities was damaged, Hitler ordered the StuG IV production to start so as to make up the fewer amount of StuG 3 then. When the same thing happens to the Tiger II production areas, no follow-up action was made by the German Leader.

Most of the German weapons and tanks are actually designed to be cheap and easy to make, with MG42, MP40 being made with stamped metals, and the new StG44 actually consume less materias than a Kar98k as it was simply an enlarged MP40 with bigger rounds. For armoured vehicles, the Germans often rely on cheaper assault guns such as Hetzer and StuG, and the two turreted tanks that were used most often, Panzer IV and Panther, was not very expensive compared to Allied tanks, despite the latter being the most effective medium tank in the war.

The mobility of German Heer was often over-estimated. There was not a point in WW2 where more than 15% of German Force are motorized, with most of the troop travelling by bicycles or on foot, using horses or sometimes trains to transport most of their heavy equipment. This means for the Germans, getting troops to the frontlines was not an easy task, and a complete tactical retreat was often impossible to perform. While the Wehrmacht generals tried to avoid the mistakes in WW1 and spent plenty of time studying and practicing motorized warfare, they did not realize the lack of fuel in Germany during the war meant most of the troops were not ready in mobility. Erwin Rommel only sustained his Panzer forces though captured supply depots, and when that failed, the Afrika Korps collapsed quickly.
Retreat was never as easy as moving blocks back a few meters on a map, especially when the Allies were advancing rapidly with their motorized divisions. Adolf Hitler, having served as a messager in the previous war, knew how difficult it is to travel around the battlefield without vehicles or fuel, just like how most of the Wehrmacht troops did in WW2, and rarely allowed retreats, instead insisted on holding grounds and fighting off the Allies. When the Germans did retreat, many of their heavy equipments like tanks and field guns were abandoned without taking a shot, which to the Allies armies it was a blessing, costing the Wehrmacht hundreds of tanks without firing a single shot. Even the German troops on foot or bikes rarely went faster than the Allied tanks and half-tracks, with most soldiers ended up captured anyway. In the end, divisions that did "retreated" were often no different that those destroyed.
