First of all, I'm not recommending this not because of the digital adaptation, the tecnical side of the game along with the aesthetics are perfect.
The effects are great, the models are also very neat, so is for the music which is an absolute banger, but I think I will keep on listening to it from YouTube instead.

I'm not recommending this because out of 10k + cards you can play, only the last 3 archetypes released will be the ones even barely viable in this format. I have been trying to play different decks for a while, but I had to stop playing the decks I enjoyed to join the meta decks to even withstand a turn.

In short, DO NOT play this game if you want to try out Yu-Gi-Oh, you will get stomped with the new released archetypes of the season, add to those the same handtraps that are so good you can't simply ignore them (Maxx C, Ash blossom and the list goes on).

The presence of strategy is no longer relevant, who starts first wins 90% of the times due to the ability to set multiple negates that won't let you play anything at all, or will allow them to summon a fusion monster from deck with no materials in hand or GY that can negate, destroy 2 cards per turn and gain attack. In short, if you are looking for a game where you can make your own strategy and decks against the other creative minds of duelists, this is not the game.


The new archetypes aren't just "strong", they are overpowered, meaning you either use them or you lose 85% of the time, you can't compete with a deck that can come back after you destroy all their cards 3 times unless you are using another meta deck on the same level.

You might think "well, then get those decks too!"

Sure, are you ready to grind UR shards to craft those cards? Because the new archetypes are mainly Ultra Rare cards, therefore to get those cards you have to be ready to either grind constantly, give up , or use bots (which is why the online matchmaking is also plagued with bots)



Before anyone says "skill issue", I've got to plat 3 with D/D/D, but after that it's impossible to keep up. Save your self some time (and sanity) and find another card game.
