FURRY SLAY THE SPIRE

No, but seriously, this game is very good. It's in the same genre of 'you need to play and win the game several times to unlock everything' tedium that hades, the binding of isaac, and slay the spire do. If you do not want to replay the game and want a full experience from the get go, then it might not be for you.

That being said, it's actually not that difficult to win matches unless you don't read the little nooks and crannies that the game tells you. Slamming enemies with abilities, flanking them for more damage, backstabbing if they're facing away, and usage of a ton of synergies that obliterate any battle as long as you pay attention to what the battlefield gives you. The only difficulty comes from the first few games, where some broken items and synergies are not really online until you unlock them.

Selectable characters get stronger in their own right the more you play them each run as long as you satisfy the conditions (kill x amount of enemies, trigger x events, etc etc). Some are downright broken with a few items, and others require more items to really be good. AOE is essentially the best strat to win any run, and you'll find yourself using 'slam' abilities and gameplay, if not co-op attack synergy, or at the very least, just having a hyperfed melee that whacks things to death.

The only downsides I feel are that if you are not well versed in roguelikes, you are going to suffer, really bad. Runs are typically 1 hour long if you really wanna use up every node given to you, and with the replay ability dependent on whether you can handle rng on item drops, your enjoyment may vary. Enemies and special events kinda screw you up, and if you don't have a plan to get out of the situation you're put in, your team is screwed. THERE ARE ONLY HEALING STATIONS ON OCCASION, unless you can buy one from the shop. Saving health is important unless you have something to recuperate it during long fights.

Overall, there is a lot to unpack, and a lot to enjoy. It's your run-of-the-mill roguelike, and if you dont really like that then wait until this thing is on sale.

I play every run all the way to the end just to resurrect a young girl's brother in act three just to make her shut up and realize how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a brother she actually has.

On a better note:
- Throw potions of healing between your group's huddled feet to efficiently heal.
- Tavern brawler monk is hilariously overpowered, even on tactician.
- Tavern brawler throwbarian is hilariously overpowered, even on tactician.
- Play any build you want. It'll somehow work if you know what you're doing.
- You can talk a lot of bosses to un-alive themselves or solve events. Very funny. You don't have to go on a murderspree to get to max level. You'll have plenty of levels to do if you really scour every act.

Bads:
- Patch 4 introduced a horrendous lag bug in act 3 that I had to learn coding to fix (Lmao good luck console players).
- Dragonborn female has no boba. No honkers. No meat slappers.
- No voiced cutscenes if you play origin makes the experience incredibly weak vs having them as a companion.
- Evil path literally does not change the story. You are railroaded into the good path no matter what. e.g :there's a certain NPC you must save that will see you as an ally even if you betray them and kill their beloved before the final fight of a certain act.
- Dragonborn female has no boba. No honkers. No meat slappers. (put this twice on here because it's important.)

4 and a half thousand hours in and I still cant find the final fantasy

I made a cannibalistic, luciferum stocked murderdome with all the prisoners I captured.

No I do not have a problem.
Yes I enjoyed watching them go crazy eating the corpses.

I don't like this game, and yet I come back to it as if they're like an ex that promises me they'll do better next time.

My mental health declines playing this game, please help.

+Buy lots of cosmetics which somehow make you feel better and make you play better.
+Play bot games where you are guaranteed a win.
+Low prio is just an easier gateway to an easy win (double edged comment)
+Get your first immortal, proud of life and everything that you have achieved.
+Sell immortal for 8 Legendaries
+Scam someone for an arcana with 8 Legendaries.
+Proud with life once more as you have a brand new Arcana.

+Praise the Gift box that gives you rares each time you level up [edit: it's gone now :(]
