What can I say. I bought Postal 2 11+ years ago in a gamestop store for $50 when it was only a singleplayer game and I was just freshly addicted to pc gaming. Was hooked on the game from the 1st 5 minutes in as it was the most outragous game I'd ever played at that point. Hacking heads off with a shovel and kicking them around like soccer balls, pissing in people's faces until they puked, pouring gas all over a bunch of "alternative lifestyle" people dancing in a gay bar and setting them on fire, training stray dogs to attack anyone who attacked me.....and that's just during day 1.
Basically you live 5 days in the life of "The Postal Dude" and although you have a few chores to do each day that allow you to progress to the next day, the game is totally non-linear and open world. You play how you want to play and at what pace and spend as much time as you want exploring and discovering (and there's lot's to discover) as you want.
Then they finally released "Share the Pain", the version of Postal 2 that included multiplayer. Even though the network code wasn't the greatest and it was always a little buggy it quickly became my most played game for the next couple years. I started a clan, started running game servers for the 1st time, and eventually learned the unreal editor and made probably around 30 custom mp maps for the game.
Anyway to make a long story medium, even though the multiplayer community is scarce and pretty much nothing but super modded servers, the single player part of the game is well worth $10 any day of the week. The game is still being updated and patched often more then 11 years later and RWS is about to release a new expansion to the story/game which is looking even better then the original.
If you aren't easily offended, love to laugh your ass off, and want to piss in a cops face then buy this game now!
