So I've played this game for about an hour. (Steam reports it incorrectly because I had no internet connection at the moment)
Yes, it might have a ton of content, but the fighting itself fells horrible. Enemies' attacks are badly telegraphed, the hitboxes seem all over the place and you need to be an actual midget to parry basically anything. Or use a way too unrealistic grip on your weapon, maybe.
There might be barely anything to do in Grimlord or Blade & Sorcery, but their fighting feels... I wouldn't say "more realistic", because it's far from that, but "less game-ish". So I would rather play those. Fighting in Battle Talent kinda feels like fighting in Morrowind. You never know if your hit will land (or where and how, for that matter), but the enemies' hits land even when they seem they shouldn't.
Maybe I had some height calibration problem, but I tried my actual height and an auto-calibrated one (which was 2 inches off btw) and both felt equally bad. To such extent that fighting while crouching was more comfortable than standing.
I didn't go too far to check out all there is to the game, so I can't say anything about that, but I kinda don't want to. Maybe later when I fix something or the fighting magically clicks - I will update the review.
For now - can't recommend
